A little appreciation video to the 10 months I’ve spent in South Korea back in 2021 and miss dearly. I found these on my hard drive but I believe I shot them on my iPhone SE2020. I loved cycling around. The biking roads in Seoul were so well established, that I found myself riding my bike into the sunsets. I miss it a lot and if there is one thing I regret the most, it is that I have not been thankful enough to Allah for blessing me this way. Alhamdulillah, looking back I’d do it over and over again. I had a wonderful time and met wonderful people. So grateful. This year marks my 5 year anniversary and I have been dreaming of going back ever since. Makes me emotional to see this, I love this video a lot, hope u do too! I adore this song. #seoul #biking #2021

📬 🇱🇧 لبنان | Lebanon stamps Inspired by @sama.beirut and @waelmorcos I purchased a bunch of post stamps from all around the world and ugh I need to share them with y’all. They never fail to amaze me. The motifs, the printing techniques, the typography, the size, the creativity, the over-all design… all of it!! Didn’t want to deprive you of their beauty so I’ll be dropping them once in a while for inspiration! 🥰 I have like +100 so stay tuned 🤭 Which one is your favourite? #postalstamps #lebanon #graphicdesign

We‘ve come to an end with Trabzon for now 🏞️ My aunt and I visited both houses in the village that belonged to my grandpa and grandma who passed away a long time ago. I was a teenager back then and unfortunately I have very vivid memories with them since I only visited Turkey 3 times in my life and they passed away before I could create new memories. But I loved going through the old photo books seeing the house, garden, interior and visiting their grave. I remember collecting hazelnuts as a child in their garden. Everyone praised grandma‘s garden because she used to plant many fruits and vegetables and they would grow beautifully but now there’s no one to care about the house nor the garden since everyone is busy with their own life. It was nice to see it though, after so many years. 1. Şalpazarı (hazelnut harvest season) 2. The mosque right next to their house 3. Closer shot of the mosque (I adore this picture) 4. Some buildings + #firstoftheroll 5. Pelargonias 6. Airing out the bedding 7. A prayer rug 8. A classic Turkish breakfast with an incredible view 9. Two people working in their garden 10. Old plastic chair + Symphyotrichum 11. Cool shoes (ayakkabım şekil, önümden çekil) 12. Çay (cenaze evinde) 13. A persimmon in grandma’s garden. 14. One of the most Turkish tea cups ever. 15. Grandpa and Grandma on their wedding day. (so pretty/ handsome, may Allah shower their graves with Noor) I did not intend to put music on this post, but the recommendation was just too perfect because it was indeed two days of a quiet life. #2024 #türkiye

A week of photobooths @ برلين Throughout the cold December days of last year I went through Berlin hunting down one Photobooth after another creating this little project for myself and now for y’all too. I enjoyed it but it was also freezing and I’m happy to finally share it. I would always recommend not waiting for friends to take these but enjoy it by yourself, document yourself. On my final day (Sunday) I dressed up extra nicely (had an evening fit with cute earrings and a bedazzled bag) where I met these two girls that were waiting in line and I told them about my project and how I would want more people to shoot these by themselves. Also I wanted to let them know I will need a couple more minutes to get out. Honestly, it was just kind of embarrassing because most of the time the curtains are way too short and people can see everything I do in there 🫠 whatever I’m pleased with the result. 😌 Did you know that that there is exactly one location with a photobooth that is printing coloured pictures? I had no idea but there’s a map when you search for “Photoautomaten Berlin” () with all locations. Above you can find 7/33. Which day is your favorite? Oldtimer with a banner (+lettering) saying: “Everywhere is Trabzon to us.” 4. A parrot chilling in the neighbourhood. 5. The Hagia Sophia Mosque in Trabzon 6. Another Mosque I don’t remember but saw whilst walking to the city center. 7. Lilac hydrangeas 8. Brass Brazier Charcoal Heater 9. The Market 10. Cat visiting the Mosque 11. Kanuni House Insta recommended this song 2 me and it’s such a vibe. #kodakcolorplus200 #kodak #35mm

A trip through the breathtakingly beautiful nature of Trabzon 🏞️ with my aunties, uncle and cousins 🤍 Surah Ar-Rahman [55:76-78]: All 'believers' will be reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets. Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny? Blessed is the name of your Lord full of Majesty and Honor. There was this beautiful open-air mosque, the Kadırga Açık Hava Camii. A sign at the entrance said, ‘Please take off your shoes,’ which I found charming. You then step directly onto the grassy prayer area. I enjoyed that prayer so much, completely intertwined with nature. The sun beaming onto our heads what’s the grass is touching our hands and our forehead when going into sujud. Everything was incredibly peaceful. Every time I pray outside, surrounded by nature, I feel such excitement and joy. I might even say I was too excited because I started praying and it was not the time yet, so I had to pray twice (not complaining). It’s moments like these that remind me of Allah, His majesty, and the profound beauty of His creation. Alhamdulillah to have experienced this.
A precious moment of slowness in our fast-paced world. 🍃 Oh God, I almost forgot about the sweet lady in the first picture. I just found her outfit, her energy and the moment so lovely, I had to take a picture. (I asked for her consent to share this picture back then, because I knew it would come out amazingly.) We had a lil chat with the locals before continuing our trip. Anyways I love each slide but 1, 2, 9, 13, 16 + 17 gotta be my favorites. I also think they speak for themselves. 🥹 #analogphotography #türkiye #trabzon #yayla #filmisnotdead #kodak #2024 #olympus

Köy | 🐈🌽🥔🌼☁️🌞🩵🪿🫖🕌🌿🌶️ The village of my grandpa and grandma through my lens. This was one of the songs my grandpa played in the car after picking me up from the bus station. I thought it was really cute that he came early to wait for me. Honestly, my grandpa and all of his grandchildren have quite the difficult relationship I believe and even though he has his quirks and character traits I sometimes have difficulties adjusting to there’s something in me that just loves him and appreciates the care and connection I have to him, probably also yearning for a deeper relationship… (and granny too, but she’s a cutie patootie ✨) Fun fact: I once had a phone call with him where I was trying to ask him how he was doing and I believe I was living abroad at that time and somehow he was worried about me and started crying almost immediately which resulted in our phone call only lasting about one or two minutes and he hung up. 🥹 Font in use: Pangaia by @pangram.pangram , Suisse Int’l by @swisstypefaces #35mm #türkiye #2024 #kodak #graphicdesign

Ya Rabb! Lezzeti şükür için isteyen kullarından eyle. There‘s nothing like the green sour mandarins of Türkiye 😩🍊🤍 What I’d give to have a market like this around the corner of my home (cuz my aunty literally only has to go downstairs and there it is — in all its glory ✨ (too expensive for locals though 💔) #35mm #kodak #kodakgold200 #summer #türkiye #trabzon #market #vegetables #fruits #film #2024
