In honour of Motherās Day - little reminders as a new mommyš¤ passing them on incase you need them too. I love being your mama Sil! Photos by @motherz.jpg
Just some thoughts as a teen mum whoās still navigating a career/social media:
Sometimes I feel silly posting so much āmotherā content - because there are around 12000 billion mothers in the world - so why would anyone care? But then again, my baby and I share every moment of the day together. This is authentically me. He is attached to me and I absolutely love taking photos with him and talking about him. But then I have a sudden fear of exposing him too much on the internet. So most shots are of the back of his head. And then this happensā¦. We take photographs like these and I absolutely want to share them because I am obsessed with them. And why shouldnāt I? A few photos of his ever-changing face wonāt hurt. But then the next hurdle crosses my mind - am I preventing myself from getting booked again as an actress because Iām shouting about the fact Iām mother now? Should I have to keep it quiet? Unfortunately, society has brainwashed us into thinking we have an expiry date - that age or motherhood somehow marks the end of ambition. Weāre made to feel like thereās a narrow window in which we have to make it. Which is ridiculous because Iām more driven and more capable than ever. Iām a mother, multiple business owner, an actress, a creative and I can do all of those things, and do it well. The bottom line is - motherhood constantly has you questioning every move you make. Especially on social media. But one thing is for sure - Iām obsessed with this life with my sonā¦I love documenting it and these photos are absolutely everything to me āļø
