As part of Big Picture Alliance’s Media Futures program, our youth filmmakers have produced a powerful documentary spotlighting the mission, impact, and evolution of the Blues Babe Foundation (@bluesbabefdn ).
Centered on the voices of the organization’s founders, staff, and youth participants, the film tells a story of community, creativity, and academic empowerment. The brainchild of Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and poet Jill Scott (@missjillscott ), Blues Babe Foundation’s work is rooted in cultivating academic and artistic success in youth coming from the most underserved communities of North Philadelphia and Camden.
Produced by our youth in Media Futures, this project reflects 300+ hours of hands-on training, professional mentorship, and purpose-driven storytelling. Our future filmmakers are not only learning industry skills & certifications, they’re making real impact.

✨ 2025 Camp Jill Scott ended with a surprise twist! ✨
On the last day of camp, each camper received a backpack filled with extra goodies to kick off the school year. 🎒💫 Inside were Must-Have Joy socks, Bombas socks, journals, Claire’s earrings, trinkets, and even a $25 gift card from our 12 Days of Christmas tradition. 🎁✨

On August 14th we had the pleasure of welcoming @bluesbabefdn Camp Jill Scott to our Farm for a day Full of Education, Wellness, & reconnecting with nature
We turned our Living Classroom into an escape room, the Apiary was buzzing with little bee keepers, @blacklotus.hhc provided sweet sounds and gentle movements it was truly a impactful experience
