2 years ago - Had no idea I was about to write an album called “Postcards”. Even though I vividly remember this day, I never realized the connection till just now when I found this pic. Guess sometimes our future’s right in front of us, and we don’t realize.
Music’s always felt a bit easier than acting, probably because when I sing, I’m just being myself. But the more I act, the more I realize music is teaching me how to do it.
The art we naturally make (whether that’s painting, the way we decorate our rooms, conversations we have, the way we play sports, the way we dance at parties) - all of these are windows into us, where light pours out and others peer in.
So, for acting, the deeper I can know a character - as if they’re a real human being - the more I can let them speak, and the more acting starts to feel like playing a song.
