As my show wraps up I want to say a big thank you for all the love and support I have gotten towards my work. I wanted to create a space for people to talk about death and dying and hope others feel it was successful. 💙💙💙
Life has been busy!
New jobs and travel (with some pots being made between there)

Spent some time wandering Scotland’s historic graveyards recently. Lots of eerie charm and unexpected inspiration for future projects!
If you ever ask yourself “hmm are these too wet to fire?” the answer is probably yes.
Two days work of test tiles gone to the kiln gods, time to make more!

Being a potter often means doing the same thing over and over again and one day something changes leading to failure. I recently fired all of these earrings and even though nothing in my process changed, upon opening the kiln I found out the glaze on every single one crawled. Weeks of work gone and time to start again!

I am currently spending a week at Arrowmont in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and am taking a course on surface design and printing on ceramics. I spent some time today working on creating a toolbox of images that I can easily put on pieces. I started with this print called Dance of Death or Danse Macabre, this is one of my favorite works so much so I have a tattoo of it!

I have been a bit MIA, but that has been due to working on getting my own gas and salt kilns!!! I have been so lucky as to be gifted a retired gas reduction kiln and am now taking it apart brick by brick to rebuild into two smaller kilns. Just to show the full size of this kiln enjoy these action shots of me chipping free some target bricks!
And a bonus snippet of some new designs I’m working on now that I’m primarily firing with just an electric kiln 🪱🪱🪱
A few process shots from some recent tumblers. I am a big fan of American traditional tattoos and have been testing the waters of adding this style to some of my work. Stay tuned for finished fired pieces!
Welcome home! @sstephaniemeyers and I have been working on the finishing touches in my studio this week. Its not completely done but is feeling like home!
