We’ve spoken to around fifty people, hung out with the homeless, climbed thousands of meters of elevation, and here is how it started. Big ups to BC for being the best. #Canada #bc #canadian #bike #biking

We’ve only been on the road a few days and we’re already cooking up some crazy reports, stories, and photos that will only be released on the paper trail! You can get it digitally or physically too!! Put the word ā€œbicycleā€ in your comment and I’ll DM you the way to do it!

SHOULD CANADA BREAK UP? Today we launched off on the most ambitious project we’ve ever done: we will document the whole country by bike. All of our possessions are on our back, our cameras, our laptops, and lots of water. The route will be dangerous, with trucks and cars blasting past us at 100km per hour two meters away, but we’re determined to make it to the end. Of course, we might not as well. #canada #bc #bike #document #video

Every month there’s some lines that I love that get put into Paper Rag, usually they’re from @isaacapeltz but I also included some lines from me because I’m a narcissist lol. There’s a bunch of other artists and authors in next months edition but I’ve not included them because the agreement is that their art will only ever exist offline and I stand by that so if you want to see the real juice u know where to go. Ok I know I was joking about this the other day but this is GENUINELY SO NOT COOL OK if people actually just go and take it for themselves like this then the zine won’t be exclusive any more and how can I expect to survive if it’s not exclusive like if anyone can just have it and give it out to their friends like that I’m genuinely screwed I am so mad at whoever did this if you know who it was please tell me in the comments or if you think a friend might know something about this get them in here but genuinely I am shaking right now like my whole life is crumbling before my eyes you’re telling me people who maybe couldn’t get it before but were interested in it can just GO AND GET IT FOR NOTHING JUST LIKE RHAT WHAT THE HECK THIS ISNT FAIR THIS ISNT FAIR THIS ISNT FAIR

I’m starting an underground communication network. For the past year I’ve been making a print-only arts and culture zine (mini magazine) every month. It has one big problem. It’s main pitch is to help art and thought escape the algorithm, it’s full of crazy art, articles, and poetry but: I still find most of its readers online, For this zine to truly become a counterculture publication, people need to be able to find it offline too. Which is why I am looking for 13 Canadian bands. One from each province and territory. Across the country independent bands are the central nervous system of local scenes. I want to mail 13 bands a box FULL of zines for them and their fans to enjoy! So if you’re a band and want in on building this communication network with me, comment which province you’re from and I’ll send you a whole box of zines FULL of art, articles, and poetry, that you can do whatever you please with at your next shows! I’m deciding on who to send them to the 27th, so get in the comments now, and if you have a favourite local act, tag them so they can see! Don’t worry, if you’re not a band but still want to escape the algorithm you can too and I’m sure you can figure out how ;)

It’s all people making up scenes. Scenes made up of people. This January Paper Rags edition is diving into the many snapshot moments that are happening simultaneously across a culture. These things happen independently of each other, often without any awareness of one another whatsoever. Yet what they are looking for, and the problems they face getting their overlap again and again. It’s all one big web whether we like it or not. Sign up by December 25th to get January’s rag, and even better, if you’re one of the first 300 people to sign up this month, I’ll mail you my newest poetry collection separately for no extra cost. BOGO Zines why not live a little. Merry Chrysler and happy holidays.
