TONIGHT on @bbctheoneshow a very social film celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday (ahead of the big day tomorrow!) We head to the Leicestershire countryside and @twycrosszoo where Sir David’s old Cub Scout Pack, the 9th Leicester, are planting 100 trees for his 100 years! Als joining them is Dave Morris, who used the lead the pack and whose parents ran the group when Sir David was a member himself! We also meet the zoo’s Chief of Conservation, Dr Rebecca Biddle, and Education Ranger, Finn Holmes-Kellett who both found inspiration in Sir David’s documentaries. #davidattenborough #centenery #conservation #bbcone #wildlife

🐩‍⬛🌈TONIGHT ON THE ONE SHOW🌈🐩‍⬛ Roma Wells visits the Shropshire home of wildlife photographer and former children’s author Andrew Fusek Peters, who rediscovered his creativity by photographing garden wildlife just beyond his kitchen window. We hear how he began photographing garden birds and one winter dawn where he captured sunlight diffracting through birds’ wings to create a fleeting rainbow effect in his images. The following morning, Roma returns before sunrise to watch him set up his camera and wait for the precise angle of winter light. The result: a reminder of the wonder that can be found right on your own doorstep!

Tonight at 7pm: The One Show! We had great opportunity to film with Michael Sheen in his hometown of Port Talbot to learn all about the new Welsh National Theatre which he is spearheading. It was an incredible day of filming! Presented by actor and singer John Owen-Jones, known for Les Mis and Phantom of the Opera. We hear about what inspired Michael about growing up in South Wales, his journey to Hollywood and we see behind the scenes of ‘Our Town’, the WNT’s inaugural production in which Michael is starring as ‘The Stage Manager’.

🐩‍⬛✹TONIGHT✹🐩‍⬛ In this festive film for The One Show, we follow Jim Moir and Nancy Sorrell Moir on a winter’s walk in Kent. They’re out on their local common to try and spot a bird long associated with Christmas
. the Robin! In suitably Robin-esque attire and armed with a sack full of facts, they sing their way through the trees hoping to stumble into Robin territory. Back at Jim’s home studio, he puts brush to canvas and paints his own impression
and it wouldn’t be Christmas without capping it all off with a mince pie and a smooch beneath the mistletoe!
