One year ago today, BLOXECTOMY’s debut EP NOOB DISMEMBERMENT was released!
Thank you all for sticking around. I’ve typed out many sappy messages for all my anniversary posts, so today I’ll include some light hearted and fun information about the production of this EP:
The first song on the album (Guest 666 Orgy) was made wayyy back in January of 2024. It was tweaked only slightly before its release (I just added better vocals and my current guitar tone.) I was planning on releasing it under the stage name “Poser P**n.” Yes…it saddens me to admit that at the time I was going to be a p**no-grind meme band and not a ROBLOX one. I’m glad I thought that one over!
Cart Ride into My Weiner was written, produced, and finished within 24 hours. I had a flight to Austin on this day last year, and wanted to get the EP out that day. I felt like it was missing a big piece so I wrote just one more song to balance it out. It ended up being my favorite track on the album!
The artwork and title of the EP were finished and figured out about a week before any of the newer songs on the album (Life is RoBLOXECTOMY, Cart Ride, the finished version of Guest.) I’ve always liked getting art done for projects before I’ve even made any of the music for it. I really don’t know why 🤔
Well that’s all I can think of for now. If I remember anything else I’ll edit this description 😊 How many of you people even read this stuff though anyway …🤨
It means the world to me that a year later I’m able to continue this project and perform shows in the flesh for yall. The positive impact everyone who’s supported me has made is something I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words, so I’ll put it into some BRUTAL. BLOX. MUSIC.
