1 year ago today On our way home at 9pm, My 6 Month old son and I were caught in the middle of a shootout. As I’m driving down the street I’m praying for protection and covering over me and my son to get us home safely and shield us from harm. All the while playing the “the blessing” Singing that over us as well. We caught a red light and were waiting at the intersection by ourselves when A car peeled around the corner going the opposite way. Shots started popping off and as soon as I realized they were shooting the car pulled up right next me. Thinking I was being targeted I ducked while simultaneously jerking the wheel right and hitting the gas going onto the curb. All I could do was shout “Jesus Protect Us!” My window exploded and I thought that’s it were done. Car peeled off, shooting stopped. I reversed and ran the intersection into our neighborhood. Adrenaline pumping I jumped out to make sure I wasn’t hit then ran around to check on my son. I Open his door and he just looked at me and laughed. I cried tears of joy kissing him telling him we’re good papa. Thankful he wasn’t hit. 50+ bullets and only 1 hit our car. Didn’t even make it past the 1st panel. Thank you Jesus for your protection, your mercy, your Love, your grace. Grateful to still be here.
