Don’t miss out on seeing the exhibition - on view Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through June 6th.

April is National Poetry Month. I had the pleasure of working with Chicago Poetry Center again this year. Thanks @heleneachanzar !
I designed and printed nine broadsides for New Visions: A Broadside Exhibition. This is some behind-the-scenes of printing the broadside for Monica Rico’s poem, Patrilineal. I got the chance to meet Monica a few years ago. Both she and her work are fantastic. Go see it in person.
I can’t make the event but you should go and get TWO FREE BROADSIDES and there will be an open mic and featured readings. Have fun!

@emoryrosemarbl at Emory University commissioned me to print a broadside for The 2026 Raymond Danowski Poetry Library Reading Series on April 18.
I choose ars america (in the hold) from Danez Smith’s most recent book of poetry, Bluff. It’s a 12x18 three-color print in an edition of 200. There are so many great poems in this collection, but this one spoke to me.
I’m excited to be introduced to this powerful work and work with their moving words.
I won’t be there, but if you’re near Emory, you should stop by and enjoy the reading. 🙏🏾

This project was made possible by a Creative Projects grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
I’ve been up and out early to the studio every morning the last four or five days. Working on projects, trying to get some printing in before work. I’m not a morning person, but I’m finding these early morning hours are a good time to get things done. What’s your best window for working? What time of the day do you do your best work?
This time last year, I was on Bainbridge Island for Power of the Presses @bimuseum.of.art
It was my second time in the Seattle area and I really love it. Great people. Great printers. And actually not much rain. Shout out to the folks at BIMA and Partners in Print @pipletterpress for another wonderful visit. I’m looking forward to the next time I can make my way out west.
