One of the few discoveries I made after my father passed many years ago, this month, were these photos taken with his Yashica-D box camera in the 1960s. Today we take endless photos, back then, you had one shot, little to no preview, and he would have waited months to see the results. So today, I’m putting some out in the world.

We released a new video today. My job was to keep giant water bottles out of the frame. Clearly, not my forte. In all seriousness, Darrell introduced me to Ilan back in 2023 and it took this long for the planets to align and I’m sure glad they did. A huge thanks to all involved; Johan Svala, Ilan Rubin, Darrell Thorp, Oliver Roman, the Lauten Audio team and the reoccurring support crew that’s always willing to pivot at the last minute consisting of James McShane, Adrian Aiello, Ryan Tuttle and all the folks at 606. Got to break bread with and then witness this guy go from no sound check, and imho one the worst sounding venues in SF, to one of the best, super dense and heavy, FOH mixes I’ve ever heard. Hats off @kingofallklings !!!
More stories from James Gadson, this time on working with Beck. Decades deep, he continued to inspire and be inspired. James had a way of making you feel like he was more grateful for you than you were for him. That positive energy is etched into the fabric of everything, reverberating through everyone he touched.

Had the rare opportunity to break bread with friends (@joeywaronker & @dfthorp ) this week. In the every day chaos of our lives it’s so easy to not take a moment to stop and just hang. It was a joy.
