Punk music has always carried a little chaos with it — but it also grew out of a strong DIY culture. When punk emerged in the 1970s, bands booked their own shows, printed their own flyers, and built their own scenes as a rebellion against overly commercial music.
That spirit is the inspiration behind Ethical Chaos Fest.
The chaos comes from the energy of live music. The ethical part comes from supporting independent artists, small businesses, and local creative culture.
Punk is also a wide and evolving genre. At Ethical Chaos Fest you’ll hear everything from bluegrass-influenced punk and folk punk to garage punk, all-girl bands, and young emerging artists.
All of the musicians performing come from right here in Northeast Florida — Fernandina Beach and Jacksonville — highlighting the strength of our local music scene.
Rock out during the inaugural 2-day Ethical Chaos Fest by The Inkwell Art Bar. See 12+ live bands, shop local art vendors, chow down on delish food truck bites, and create memories that will last longer than your knees.
This event will aim to raise funds for The Friends of Fernandina Skatepark, unite subgenres of punk, and bring the alt music community together!
Local acts from Fernandina and Northeast Florida include Blossomin’ Bone, The Dizzy Bimbos, Roadie, The Annie Dukes, Vermillion, Solid Right Hook, Lifted Riffs, Tommy Peacock Band, Stephen K. Webster, Brandon Hester, and MORE.

Collaboratin’ on song writin’ with @ddrbmusic was a blast. Amanda made sure we paid our respects to the great @john_prine when it comes to all the stuff goin’ on in our world that none of us wanna talk about. @Itsmerickyb really does have a solid set up for a studio. Ever grateful he shared with us some of his wisdom for mixin’ our upcomin’ releases with @snakepissrecords .
On our day off, we watched the sunrise in the Atlantic & drove across the state to see the sunset in the gulf. Took the time to do some writin’ of our own while drivin’ from coast to coast about doin’ time in county. We also took advantage of the opportunity to hug @rats_ass_records at the @lakelandpunkflea & @jonnyboh88 in Tampa before runnin’ back north.
It's been a whole year since we started doing this damn thing believe it or not.
And what a wild ride it's been.
I never would have dreamed we'd accomplish as much as we have in this amount of time, and we're just getting started.
Thank you to anyone and everyone who has supported us along the way, we couldn't do it without you and we wouldn't want to.

Fourth GIMA award?!?!
Y’all, @olafh_ace nailed it when takin’ our five ideas and made it a reality for our recent release “IMMORTALIZED”. From a decapitated cow ridin’ a boxcar, a gator smokin’ a pipe full of don’t tell mama, an engineer tryin’ to get done with another hard day’s work, a failed UFO abduction, a butcher holdin’ on with hopes to make ends meat or even the devil temptin’ Bessie with every sinful delight… this artwork goes so hard.
When we submitted this piece for Golden Isle Music Awards Album Art of the Year, we asked if we can give any of the judges a copy of the physical album. We wanted to let them see how Sean Hanson & Dylan Davidson with @snakepissrecords really knocked it out of the park with the design on the physical copy.
Unsure if the copy we provided made it around to anyone votin’, but IMMORTALIZED is by far one of our favorite pieces of media to have on the merch table.
