My favourite person is at the theatre doing awesome things, so I’m snuggling up on the couch with the kitties for a birthday treat of bubbly and my favourite book-turned-series. I may cry. It won’t be because of the bubbles. Saying goodbye to Good Omens is going to be hard.
Emily Child who has been in numerous award-winning Louis Viljoen plays, many of which are in SELECTED PLAYS published by Karavan Press, just got her hands on her own very own copy… and she’s on the cover too, along with Nicholas Pauling. Safe to say she’s rather happy about it all.

Valentine’s Day dinner with my most favourite person of all time, @uncleloowriter , sipping on a kick-ass delicious 2018 Grenache courtesy of our amazing friend John, enjoyed at the 11th best pizza joint in the world, and the best pizza joint in Cape Town according to Times Out Mag. Lucky for us it happens to be our Woodstock local, Pizza Connection.

What a lovely Sunday. I needed to see beauty, nature and goodness in the world today. I haven’t actually been able to wish people “Happy New Year” proper because nothing felt Happy about its start or this past year. But my soul feels invigorated and lighter having been surrounded by open sea, good people and beautiful dolphins.
