SMOKED GUANCIALE …. Just look at this beauty! Made in house, guanciale is the traditional ingredient in Carbonara. We make a traditional guanciale with herbs and a smoked version too (pictured).

Finally lined up a day where we were both off AND they had a free table 🙌 so brunch at @smokeandsearnewcastle in Heaton it was!
I went for their signature Wakey Wakey Eggs & Bakey – panko deep-fried dippy eggs with hash brown soldiers 🤤 honestly unreal. Everything cooked to perfection and looked just as good as it tasted.
True to form, my other half went all in with the biggest breakfast on the menu 🍳🥓 the meat’s sourced from @blocknbottle just down the road, and you can definitely tell the quality.
If you’re planning a visit, I’d 100% recommend booking on their website. They do take walk-ins, but it gets busy… and rightly so!
