What’s this move called? SIDEWALK SHARKS ARE BACK IN STOCK! NEW COLORS!
THE MOST FUN BOARD I’VE EVER RIDDEN!* I’ve been skating my Sidewalk Shark board for the past year on the regular and I’m still going to say it’s the most fun board I’ve ever ridden….well besides my first board that my grandfather made me in 1974 because it was obviously so fun it hooked me on skateboarding for the past 50 years straight!
It’s like you’re on a magic carpet ride with the 11” wide board and narrower trucks so it turns amazing…just super surfy. Styled as if they’re from an alternate universe…one where the steel and clay wheel boards of the 60’s evolved in a different direction but the classic style remains.
Oh and I accidentally found out that with the skinnier trucks it opens the door to new tricks, here’s a few names off the top of my head….what you got?! Edge Sander, Full Tilt, Slant 6, Lean-to, Tip-a-Canoe, Shark Fin.
Thanks (again) for your your support of this “dream” project of mine!

Now Live on YouTube! - Chris Lambert Reinvented - Here’s the trailer, link to full video in bio.
We played our new short documentary to a super stoked over capacity crowd at Johnny Radz last week and all had a blast. Don’t worry if you didn’t make the premier…. throw a frozen pizza in the toaster oven, grab a cold one from the fridge and kick back on the couch and watch Chris Lambert Reinvented!
There’s a lot more to Chris’s story than you know, if you’re looking for some inspiration to keep on shredding despite injuries or whatever curve balls life throws at you, this is a good one.
Oh, if you haven’t picked up one of Chris’s new Wolf Pup decks….why not now? It’s about the coolest shape out there plus art by Sam Cunningham too!
Chris and I thank you for your support!
Dave B.
1. New fun spot/ move for the week…an accidental one too.
2. Unsanctioned use of a @bluntsteel rail whilst hiding from the rain…oh a couple moves of my buddy Mark in there too.
3. The stack of broken blocks looked cool so just tried to get something there for a @kevinbergthold photo
4. You braggin’ or complainin’? Well I’m not too sure but I just can’t believe I can still have this much fun doing this at this age! 😃🛹🐀🧔🏼♂️

A couple days in Santa Cruz/ redwoods…only had a short while to roll, 15 minutes at the Frederick Street skatepark which was likely the first skatepark I ever skated. It was built in 1976 so it was probably 76 or 77 that I rode it at 12 or 13 years old so pretty special to ride it again for the first time since then.
True story…the day in the 70’s when we were there we witnessed multiple police cars chasing someone on a motorcycle thru the marina. They thought they had him cornered but he turned on to a dirt trail that led up the hill to the skatepark. He launched into the air in right between our group of family, cousins etc. just barely missing us by a few feet. He sped off and ditched the cops. 🏍️ 🚓🚓🚓🚓
Watch the new Curb Nerd Chris where the Blockhead crew and friends have an epic adventure at the Desert Skate Ranch. It’s up on YouTube right now. @chri_slam_bert aka @curbnerdchris is taking a break from insta right now but is still putting up a weekly video on the toob… so cruise on over and watch and subscribe for some radical and fun times. Cheers! DB

JUST DOING THINGS (#2)
1. When opportunity knocks, you gotta grab a stack of blocks and then figure out what to do with them later. Reworked the “Stacked” logo for a stencil… we’ll call this one “Unstacked”?
2. I don’t like blank boards… so when I sent @jeremy_wray a sample of a new board we’re working on I just had to give it a little love… then Jeremy cleaned it up with a sharpie. Stay tuned!
3. Blooper reel
4. I still can’t believe I grinded down a mountain, two years later I don’t think I’d have it in me to go for it again. Maybe?
Go make some fun dammit!

A story.
My good friends recently gifted me this framed photo.
The significance….
I’m in this photo with 3 of my best friends. @kristisanders_in_orbit , Mark Watson and @blockhead_dave .
And the person that arranged and shot the photo is another one of my best friends, @otisserie .
I stare at this photo and wish O was in it as well. But anyone that knew O, knows that’s how it goes. He’d be the first one to see a special moment and document it with his camera but the first to make sure he wasn’t in the photo himself. He was a really special guy. I think about him all the time. When we were resting at the skate spot we’d talk about music rather than talk about skating. I really liked that about him. I really miss him.
The other significance of this photo is the spot it was taken. This ditch is right down the street from my first apartment when I moved to San Diego in the late 90’s. It was a lonely unkept ditch that I would regularly skate, by myself after working a full shift at Tracker Trucks. I called it and still do call it the Cardiff Ditch.
A few years later I saw old photos from the 80’s of top pros skating it.
And then @jgrantbrittain told me that the ditch was the famous Sanolands.
I was shocked that this forgotten ditch, that I would just skate by myself with my thoughts, was such an iconic spot at one time.
Anyways….
Seems like everywhere I look I’ve got weird stories.
