Blood, Sweat, and Tires. It has been an honor to have spent the last few weeks working for the one and only, Anna-Lou “Annie” Leibovitz (
@annieleibovitz ). Few of her subjects equal her skill, thoughtfulness, artistry, talent, drive, beauty, and wildfire. More than a photographer, she sculpts her ideas infinitesimally, with a piece-by-piece relentlessness. And then, with the press of her finger, she is a kingmaker, an indefatigable cinematic journalist, a theatrical raconteur, customs breaker, and cover-maker. She gives and so she gets and she is and so we are. She has lent us her eyes so that we might see and she paints portraits that have defined the world wrapped around us. Thank you, Annie. Thank you.
