A picture for #blackout because as African Americans we are constantly being told that we are not as pretty or less than. We are shown this through the European beauty standards forced upon us and the constant appropriation of our cultures showing that we are not even able to appreciate ourselves and our world without it being taken and twisted by white people. Blackout day is a day for poc's to stand up and say that we are HERE and we matter. So yeah this is a day about black people because that is what this world needs
