This began as a poem for this little boy who I adore, but it became something much bigger in my heart.
Watching children exist so freely reminds me of the millions of children around the world who are being denied that same innocence because of gen0c!d3, d!splacement, and war. Children in pa!estine, $udan, l3banon, Myanmar, c0ngo, Eth!opia, and beyond deserve tenderness too.
Every child deserves softness.
Every child deserves safety.
Every child deserves the chance to simply be a child.
I’m so grateful to be able to relive my childhood through the children I serve everyday ❤️

Your skin Is the definition
people spend just for your complexion

Your beauty deserves recognition

Highschool Sweetheart
Looking back on our younger days
When we crossed ways,
I was caught in a daze,
That had me frozen under your gaze.
When we would sit on the bleachers
Where I took time to study all her features
Sitting knee to knee, my heart ready to flee
Without any idea where this will lead
but I was hoping, that you’d choose me
After this day, I never stopped seeing her
Her soul kept calling me closer
our endless walks to an unknown destination
I was starving to know more about her within
She taught me to slow down
to notice sunsets, warm sand,
the way laughter lingers after it ends.
And to appreciate the beauty the earth has to offer
From the winter nights where her kisses kept me warm
To listening to her grandma speak about the journeys before me
This is when I realized
She is the light I had been searching for my whole life.
