We’re pleased to welcome Lizza May David as one of the presenters for Buklod 2026, an artist-led gathering hosted by Bliss on Bliss Art Projects.
Lizza May David’s multidisciplinary practice is grounded in painting, which she extends through artistic research, collaboration, and expanded formats. In her talk, she will reflect on how collaborative processes inform her work, including the recent project Nursing the Empire, initiated by choreographer Donna Miranda. Her earlier video works examine themes of labor, migration, and memory.
Born in Quezon City, Philippines, David moved to Germany in the 1980s. She is currently Professor of Art Fundamentals/Painting at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle.
