During my visit back to Plymouth I had the opportunity to put on an exhibition of past and present work at @almanac.cafe.plymouth to celebrate my journey in glass and share my experience working in Murano with many people I care about.

Meet Benjamin Lintell: glass artist, sailor, maker of many things.
With a decade of experience and a degree in Contemporary Craft from the UK, Benji brings both deep technical skill and a poetic eye to his work at Wave Murano Glass. His approach to glassblowing is rooted in movement. Each piece is the result of a thoughtful, physical translation of an idea into form. You’ll often find him balancing precise technique with a sense of play, drawing on everything from science to sailing to sewing for inspiration.
Benji’s not afraid to push materials...or himself. Whether he’s crafting bold sculptural forms or quietly refining a classic vessel, his work speaks of patience, control, and curiosity. He’s trained with master glassblowers across Europe and the US, and exhibited in major shows from Munich to Milan.
Outside the furnace, you might catch him steering a local gondola through the canals, hunting for vinyl in a hidden record shop or crocheting in the sunshine! Yes, he’s that multi-talented.
We’re lucky to have Benji as part of the Wave crew—bringing sharp ideas, steady hands, and a very solid taste in music.
