Introducing our new Production Coordinator, Amanda! She was previously a voice record assistant at Nickelodeon Animation Studios, and is so excited to be working in the voiceover world again.
Joining our Head of Production in the Production Office, Amanda has a hand in everything pre-production and production - from the pre-production phase with clients, to helping execute recording sessions across our many projects and everything in between!
When not working at Blindlight, Amanda is also on the creative team for an independent mobile game called "Word Age: The Grand Expedition" (shameless plug: it's available now on the App and Google Play Store). When not working at all, you can find her knitting or baking something too warm for the LA climate.
Really nice seeing players dig into Starfield's Terran Armada and Free Lanes over the past week.
A lot of “this feels more like the game I wanted,” some “guess I’m reinstalling,” and a surprising amount of enthusiasm for just… flying places without opening a menu.
Big credit to the team continuing to build this world out, and it’s been especially great seeing the voice actors celebrating the release and sharing their work. Very cool to see performances getting some love!
Today the galaxy gets a little busier.
We partnered with Bethesda Softworks on casting and voice recording for Starfield’s new DLC, Terran Armada and Free Lanes, and we’re excited to finally see players dive in.
Somewhere along the way, we became surprisingly qualified in interstellar cargo disputes, space bureaucracy, and the correct pronunciation of made-up planets.
Congrats to everyone involved, and have fun out there among the stars!
Last week four of us from Blindlight were on the ground at the Game Developers Conference — taking meetings, attending talks (including a panel from our Studio Head, Bo Crutcher!), exploring the expo floor, and making the most of a few very full days in San Francisco. Combined, we had more than two dozen conversations with studios and partners: reconnecting with clients and meeting a lot of new teams doing exciting work.
A couple highlights from the week:
• Keeping up our annual tradition of dinner at John's Grill to visit the Maltese Falcon and share a great meal.
• Brunch with the brilliant team at Omni Super Mega Corp. Genuinely some of the most creative people we know.
• The joy in the room at the G.A.N.G. Awards. Hearing developers celebrate their peers with that total and unfiltered excitement was refreshing. It was one of the few moments all week where the entire room was simply happy about the work we all care about.
We also heard from a number of teams interested in exploring celebrity casting, which is always exciting for us. Helping developers bring performances and recognizable voices into their projects is a big part of what we love about the work.
A quick thank-you as well to our parent company, Keywords Studios. Their global network and deep connection to the development community create opportunities for teams like ours to show up, have meaningful conversations, and keep building the relationships that power great creative work.
And special thanks to Ashley Kim for meeting us in San Francisco and juggling project work in between attending almost all the talks for Love and Deepspace.
The week itself felt like a blur, but a gentle one. We left with plenty of follow-ups, a lot of work ahead of us, and a renewed momentum for the future of the industry.

You can grab a deal on this devilish deckbuilder starting today.
Working on this one was a blast - hearing the scripts by Jordan Thomas and Question Games brought to life by Emma Gregory (Minthara in Baldur's Gate 3) and Liam O'Brien (Critical Role, The Legend of Vox Machina) was something special.
Modern or Middle English performances? Up to you, both absolutely wild in the best way.
Jump into Early Access on Steam before March 4th for a bargain that would make a devil blush.
