Trace Monument “Hollow Land”. Out today in local record stores and on Bandcamp. Thanks to everyone who preordered a cassette.
To the friends who have asked: Bandcamp and a limited physical release both respect the nature of this long-form album – they encourage what streaming overlooks. Thanks for treading upon the Hollow Land.
Unfortunately, after almost five years, Sam Elsom has decided to step away from Blind Monarch. Sam has displayed a level of commitment to this project far beyond what anyone could have asked of him, his drumming elevated the band to a new level and he was never less than an absolute pleasure to share a stage, tour van, practice space or anywhere else with. We’d like to thank Sam for his time with us and wish him and his young family all the best for the future. All things must come to an end but thankfully we have one last show together to honour at @cosmicvibrationfest in August. In the meantime, the search for a new drummer begins now so interested parties, get in touch.
So, as always we wanna give 4 tickets away for free, just tag 3 buddies, share this to your story, and follow the page, and friday we will randomly choose somebody!
There are some great festivals bubbling under the surface in the UK underground, we pride ourselves as being apart of that! We don't think anybody does things the we we do, offering a new approach to the way we feel festivals could be run!
We are infinitely grateful for everyone buying tickets, sharing, supporting... you've made my dream come true, I put my first show on in the basement of a pub at 15, and I'm still doing exactly that to this day, its my favourite thing in the world, I hope I get to do this until the day I die! And without all of you, that reality could never exist! My heart belongs to rock n roll, its saved me more time than I can remember... Its full of love, passion, energy and soul, and that is what this festival is all about.
Cosmic Vibrators forever!
Recording Trace Monument’s ‘Hollow Land’ in the South Downs National Park, February 2025. We lived together for a week; our music was a point of confluence - as it always has been. We shared meals, cooking around the recording equipment that littered the barn. Writing and recording were one and the same. We would work into the early hours of the morning, recording the landscape around us: the peal of bells, the songs of birds; the resonance of the Downs.
We celebrate the release of our latest album ‘Uncrossing the Keys’ at @starandgarter , Manchester on Friday night.
Doors are at 18:30 and bands start at 19:00 sharp!
