Summit Series (@Summit ) was acquired by Events.com (@EventsDotcom ), marking a new chapter for the pioneering platform that has, for the past 17 years, convened the world’s leading creative and entrepreneurial minds through exclusive, immersive gatherings. Known for hosting visionaries like Richard Branson, Jane Goodall, and Kendrick Lamar, Summit has cultivated a global community that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and bold ideas. Now under the Events.com umbrella, Summit will benefit from expanded resources and global reach. Mitch Thrower, CEO, chairman, and co-founder of Events.com—as well as a longtime Summit community member—emphasized the shared values between the two organizations and a commitment to strengthening the impact of the Summit community worldwide. 18 years ago I was fresh out of college and had no idea what to do with myself. I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, just like both of my parents. The problem was that I had no idea what I was doing. I was promoting parties in college and was good at bringing people together, it just didn’t seem like the type of thing that I could make a career out of so I was lost trying to find my way in the world. The idea for @Summit was supposed to be a way to learn from other people who had actually started companies, so we could in fact do that. What has happened since then is quite remarkable. We managed to unite an entire generation of leaders with the intention of helping one another to succeed and using business as a mechanism for progress in the world. We have created the most magical, talented and supportive community that has transformed the lives of so many, myself included. Today, I am thrilled to announce that Summit will carry forward with our new partner, @eventsdotcom who can take that magic and spread it to those looking to find their footing and do something important in the world. I’m still all in on this company, this community and everything it stands for. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my co-founders, partners, the team, past and present and our entire community that got us through the most difficult times one could never have imagined. Specifically @nativenomad who trusted me and jumped in to support us at a really dark time and made all of this possible. I will share more on this soon but for now ill just say, see you on the next @Summit

Here is to the self described ā€œproducer of the producerā€ the guy who might not have made my baseball games because there were 2 mortgages on the house but he did take me to the gas station when he reinvented himself when I was 5 to put me on two milk crates and taught me to run a cash register and lottery machine. He was kind enough to employ me as a full service gas pump attendant and then taught me how to be a chef when he had a sub shop in the airport gas station. Forget the fact that I ran a register at the smoke shop he owned and inhaled a years worth of second hand smoke and worked behind bulletproof glass at the citgo in Roxbury when that was a place you did not want to go much to the chagrin of my mother @dragonfly19fortyseven . @michaelb.leve did in fact teach me everything I know about grit, hustle and being an entrepreneur. Just don’t call him Mike and when you serve his Belvedere on the rocks, remember ā€œno fruitā€. Love you the whole world dad, thanks for putting me in the game.

I’ve been producing events for 22 years. For the last 17 of those years I’ve had the privilege of hosting events for the @summit community. We have collectively pushed the boundaries and tested the limits of what is possible, delivering an experience and level of hospitality not offered anywhere else in the world. We are gearing up to create this magic one last time before we change formats. I hope if you’ve ever been to @summit or have ever wanted to be a part of it, that you’ll come join us for the grand finale in Detroit this June.
