I rarely meet people who truly inspire me in person, but last night I did.
I first came across @emmagrede on Instagram a few years ago and was immediately intrigued. She has a way of making you believe in yourself while staying grounded in who you are.
As a Nigerian who moved to the US, I resonate deeply with her mindset. The sense of urgency. The attention to detail. The ability to pivot and still execute. She operates from a place where playing small isn’t even a consideration. And what I respect most is her awareness of both her privilege and the grit it took to get there.
Last night was special, I got to make new memories with both new and old friends. I left inspired and a little less willing to play small.

Plot twist… I found the ring before the husband.
Started the day at @others.coffee , a super cute coffee spot with the coziest vibe.
Then headed to @methodroom for a modern reformer Pilates class. This was a special @lpriorijewelry takeover, where we explored a curated selection of engagement rings, wedding bands, and everyday fine jewelry, all paired with iced lattes from @agapecoffeecart .
The early afternoon ended wandering through @goodwooddc , an antique furniture store filled with timeless pieces and so much character.
