Papa, Pops, Dad, Father, Baba, Daddy! Call him whatever you like…He is someone, a man, recognized by each of us in a special way. My own Papa passed when I was just eight and God became my Father, along with my eldest brother, Reggy, together they provided guidance, encouragement, provision, protection and stability. Then I got married to Toni and we started our family. It was only then that I realized what I’d missed of having a father’s presence through the different stages of a child’s life. My children and I know what having a father means and we thank God for our Pops, Toni. We reflect on all the ways he’s ever ready and does everything possible to create stability, peace and ease for us. It ought not to be just a day, but on Father’s Day today we celebrate our own Papa. You are the very best Dad, I declare. Happy Father’s Day, my love.
My Nnem is a year older. Love this daughter of my heart. Every good blessing, honey! Be happy. My God is with you every step of your fulfilled life. Be happy…Be well, my beautiful Nina.
