Happy New Month Sweet Mama. Let’s talk about giving yourself grace.
You easily have sweet and encouraging words for others who make mistakes but you are overly self-critical and speak down on yourself. The only way you can truly love your neighbour as yourself is when you love yourself. Becoming a mother does not make you less deserving of love and care.
This month, practice being kind and compassionate to yourself, especially when facing challenges or setbacks. Give yourself room to make mistakes, learn and grow.

Getting married to a single parent isn’t always an easy choice to make. However, I believe the Lord can give you the grace, strength, wisdom and patience to go through the process. If you start feeling hatred or unnecessary anger towards an innocent child, please speak up! Ask God for grace, alongside.
Do not get married to the parent without sincere love in your heart for the child.

As a single mother, staying with the father of your child/children who treats you bad or is not ready to build a home with you is never the right decision. It may look and sound like love but it isn’t.
Take time to work on yourself. Grow. Heal. Refocus. Work on your relationship with Christ. Learn who you really are. In time, you’ll find someone willing to love and treat you and your child/children just as Christ would.

6. Enjoy life with God in the centre.
Being a Christian is not boring. Spend time with your friends. Go out for lunch, dinner. Have game nights. There are so many activities you can do. Also, spend time reading the word together. Share experiences.
For those who are yet to be Christians, do not be deceived. Yes, there are commandments/rules/laws to abide by but rules apply in all areas. How is this different?
Do not let the fear Satan has put in your heart deprive you of the joy of living a life with Jesus in it. Jesus loves you so much and desires you to enjoy life to the fullest. Make the decision to give your heart to Him. You won’t regret it. 🤗

5. Cut people off!
It might be time to either cut someone off or keep a distance when someone keeps hurting you over and over again or keeps taking advantage of you. Having the wrong people around you can disturb your atmosphere, cause you to doubt yourself and make fellowshipping with the Lord difficult. Learn to keep harmful people away from your space.

4. Not everything you see on Social media is real.
Stop comparing yourself to people on social media. You are beautiful. You are handsome. Your life is good the way it is. If you want to change anything, do it because you want to and/or you are led to and not because you want to be like someone else.

3. Nobody is better than you and you’re not better than anybody.
Comparison is the thief of joy. If you keep focusing on what’s going well for others you will become ungrateful and think less of yourself. Meanwhile, everybody is on their own journey. Focus on your journey. Focus on the chapter the Lord has placed you in your own book.
