I’ve always said walking into any neighborhood church in Rome is like walking into the world’s best museums. Who needs the crowds at the Vatican when all these masterpieces are empty. This one on the Capitoline Hill had what seemed like a thousand steps which were built in 1348! The statue of the Infant is surrounded by letters from around the world addressed to Baby Jesus.
