What a beautiful and supportive team I have!
Thank you to Charlie for putting together this exhibition with me. We worked hard on this vision and im so proud of how it turned out. It’s very inspiring to work with you and im sure it won’t be our last project together. I wanted to also thank Eliott for being my saviour to bounce ideas off and help to curate the show. Thank you for working tirelessly on the install with us. Thank you also to my darling Ansel for listening to me, cooking for me, being supportive, holding up the ibis while we try to balance it. This exhibition couldn’t have happened without you all. Thank you also for M16 crew- Lucy and Elise for giving us a go and helping with the technical side of things. The care you both have for the arts is really hopeful and I hope to work with you again.

Trying out cyanotype——
The process included turning my bedroom into a dark room (the photo isn’t accurate to the lighting) trying to keep everything dark was a challenge but it worked. Learning how long to expose the print in the Sun was the hardest part of the process. The last print I made was magical, the sky was overcast, the morning had become afternoon and I was ready to stop…. Then a powerful beam of light shone down and within those few seconds it was enough for the print to become exposed leaving crisp lines exposing the mesh and lace. Some of the less sharp prints were due to exposing the print for too long. The next iteration will be exciting and charlie and I are thinking about incorporating cyanotype into our upcoming exhibition at M16 in May..

On Sunday Charlie and I did a market at GANG GANG for their monthly goodies market. It was really lovely to chat to people and we had great company with Theo and Violet tagging along to sit with us. I also purchased some artworks and ceramics and even picked up some jam! It’s so special seeing all the creative things people get up to! 🍒🍒🍓 Support your community and vote with your money. 💲
Acoustic soup is a music night hosted at the food cooperative by a lovely group of volunteers each month where you can expect multiple music acts and a hot bowl of soup, veggies and rice. Tickets $10 for working members, $12 for students and non working members, $15 for general public. Next one is on the 18th of February doors at 6:30pm
