Wow it's been a minute...
Anyways here's the deal, I took a hiatus from working with clients. I left my previous position at belk due to due to a culmination of both personal and professional issues. I've had four months now to dwell and let the dust settle and its time to make decisions. We can go on and on about the things I've learned from that situation, but the bottom line is this: I love hair, I love doing hair, I love working with clients, and I'm proud of the things that I have done under Bleeding Heart Styles.
That being said, while I am keeping the old logo, my new business name is Splatter'D Red Hair Color Studios! While I am working the details out, I am working towards getting my own space. Am I ready? Probably not, but no new business owner, no matter what industry, is ever ready for the things that lie ahead. Anything can happen, the mindset is there, and I'm sparing no detail when it comes to planning this. The plan from when I was a 16 year old high school kid figuring out the beauty industry still stands today, I want my own business and I feel like this is the only way I, personally, can thrive as a stylist.
I can go on for paragraphs about my thought process behind this, but I don't owe that to anyone but myself and my clients who have continued to support me throughout all of this. I can already feel other stylists side eyeing me because I'm so new to this industry making that jump, and what I have to say to that is no stylist is created equal. We all have different goals and things we need to achieve them. This is my path and if you aren't going to be supportive and judge me, that's fine, the people who are willing to hear me out first are the ones I want to surround myself with anyways. I'm talented, I know I'm talented, and so do other people. I'm not perfect, I'm a perfectionist though and that's really my only inner concern with all this really. Like I said, I've had plenty of time to sit on this and it's going to happen! I would like to thank all of my clients and peers for their continual support and I'm looking forward to continuing my journey. Much love ❤️
