In this edition, we’re excited to welcome Kiana Maria -
@blaofilm - a Graphic designer and analog photographer.
Kiana's works combines analog and digital techniques into visually layered narratives. With roots in both the Dominican Republic and the Netherlands, her heritage inspires her instinct to bridge different creative worlds. Through her work, she explores themes of self-acceptance, feminism, abuse, and other pressing social issues, always seeking to create visuals with depth and meaning.
She is the founder of different creative communities such as FEM, that fosters support and networking opportunities for emerging freelancers and creatives, and 08mm, a space where she shares her passion for analog photography, connecting and empowering Barcelona’s photography community.
Her photography has been featured in publications such as Cosmo, AD, 17:23, Vogue, Artells, and Out and Out.
In this session, Kiana will reflect on the challenges of saying NO as a creatives, how this struggle has shaped her professional journey, and the impact it has had on her creative and personal growth.
