Anti Barbers was created to change that.
An all-genders barbershop built on one simple idea:
everyone should feel comfortable being themselves.
No labels.
No assumptions.
No awkward questions.
Just a space where people can walk in, sit down,
and feel at ease.
Because for some, getting a haircut isnât just a haircut â
itâs an experience that hasnât always felt welcoming.
So they built something different.
Something better.
This week, they celebrated their one year anniversary â
a milestone built on creating a space people genuinely feel comfortable in.

Episode 1: Beneath The Surface
Pete isnât new to this.
He played a key role in the success of another bar in Nottingham â
but @neon_notts was different. This time, it was his.
After months of hard work, he opened the doors in May 2025.
Everything heâd built was finally up and running.
So he took a step back for a short break.
When he came back⌠things werenât how he left them.
The bar was struggling.
Debt building.
And barely anyone walking through the door.
Something heâd put everything into⌠was now at risk of disappearing.
Most people wouldâve walked away.
Pete didnât.
He started documenting everything â the reality of trying to keep a business alive.
Listening to people. Adapting. Showing up every day trying to turn it around.
Now, all his focus is on one thing:
bringing @neon_notts back to life.
This is the side of business people donât usually see.
