When the air becomes arid, and modern technology is almost obsolete without the infrastructure to hold it up-ancient hunting traditions reign for survival. Humanity, unlike the animals, is held on the thread of revival, and the connection to a UN satellite is the key.

When diving after prey, a golden eagle can reach 240 to 320 kilometres per hour (150 to 200 mph). Although less agile and manoeuvrable, the golden eagle is apparently quite the equal and possibly even the superior of the peregrine falcon’s stooping and gliding speeds. This makes the golden eagle one of the two fastest living animals.

As artists, we often have a vast internal dialogue. For many of us, myself included, that voice is best articulated through our craft. Our stories are woven into what we create; as the adage goes, ‘art imitates life.’ For the artist, a finished piece is often the ‘quiet part’ finally spoken aloud.
We pour ourselves into our work, offering an intimate moment of connection to the viewer or listener. We give of ourselves freely in a world that often demands a price, hoping our message resonates. Ideally, that connection inspires someone to support our journey, allowing the cycle of creation to continue. I believe many overlook the profound privilege of experiencing art. If the true weight of that contribution were felt, its value in our lives would never be in question.

There’s a specific kind of fatigue that comes with the constant cycle of micro-content. It feels like throwing echoes into a void. I’m choosing to step back from the “feed” to build something more permanent on YouTube.

It started here with tape loops and full one-take multitrack recordings. That’s still the foundation of my process, even if I haven’t touched tape in a while. Inside the DAW, nothing really changed. I set up multiple tracks, hit record, and play each part straight through from start to finish. No 4–8 bar stems, no rearranging fragments into something artificial.
It’s like writing a love letter. You sit with what you feel, then you commit it to the page. No revisions mid-sentence. No polishing the emotion out of it. You seal it, send it, and let it exist as it was in that moment.
I hold onto that discipline because once you step into editing, arranging, mixing, mastering, the feeling starts to erode. Chase perfection too long and that moment fades. It slips through your hands. Sometimes it’s gone so completely you either start over or abandon it altogether.
We get trapped chasing something flawless, but there’s a quiet power in something unguarded. The raw take. The human imprint. The slight imperfections that prove it lived.
That approach has carried me this far.
And maybe it’s time to return to the source, to tape again.
First, I’ll need a new multitrack.
The old one has earned its place on the archive shelf. Which clearly needs some dusting sheesh.

In Full Metal Alchemist the first law of alchemy states:
To obtain or create something, another item of equal value must be sacrificed or given in exchange.
This is the law of equivalent exchange.
Although this is a fictional law written for a manga. I feel it’s true to life. In relation to artists/ musicians our craft is alchemy. When we authentically create something it’s forged with sacrifice. Be it time, energy, emotion or all of the above, we give of ourselves to create. It’s easily recognized in the work, especially when that work conveys that sacrifice and connects with others in a deeply meaningful way. Give of yourself fully to your craft and it will give it back in full.

Before things became weightless and perfect, there was so much friction. Signal bleeding into signal, circuits breathing, time imprinting itself in sound. Emotive. Analog is the memory what digital forgets: that imperfection is where the truth lives.
Though it’s not analog the MultiPoly as an analog modeling synth it recreates it so well. If you know me you know, if it’s getting my praise it’s legit.
