Pinch me! Is that really my arm??! I have lusted after @victorjwebster 's work for years, and now I have the distinguished honor of wearing one forever! I am completely in love with this Star Jasmine sleeve (the remainder of which we'll tackle in another session), it is even beyond my lofty dreams of what it could look like. I am so grateful to Victor and @kittyjoesaintemarie for the warm, welcoming, and restful time at Long Snake. It is a refuge in a wild world. I cannot understate how wonderful they are and how secure I felt. And thanks to my boo and adventure buddy @beccabarnet for the introduction, for her big true love, and her enthusiastic support always. Life affirming trip. One for the books!
@maggie_sees_beauty and I made this silly and fun holiday bow in the @tts_studios metal shop. Some process shots going from flat sheets to tasty red, roll formed goodness. Our painters did a great job with the finish and the install went very smoothly! Catch it in person at the corner of King and Queen.
I've been absolutely terrible about posting my work. I throw things in the stories often because it's easy, but have just not made time to actually post things that I'm proud of and want to share. Not promising that'll change, just acknowledging it.
I made this coffee table frame for a client a couple years back. He had the beautiful walnut slab which was made and finished by his father and wanted an interesting base out of steel to pair with it. I was grateful for free reign on the design although he did add the shelf after it was all constructed and I don't love that aspect. However, @captainstokeface did an excellent job creating a walnut lower shelf that blends in with the rest of the table. Big thanks to my pal, @chaddyarphoto for the quality shots, sorry I kept them locked away for so long!

What a week! Just finished an impressive art installation in the Holiday Inn resort on Wrightsville beach, NC with the best crew.
A driftwood partition in the lobby, string partitions and dibond prints (augmented with hand painting) in the restaurant, a massive carved foam Lumina wall piece in the entry, and a twisty shingle wall behind the reception desk.
All pieces designed by @beccabarnet with construction by @tts_studios and @sisalcreative with @shelb_elle and installation by TTS Studios. More specifically, @saoir73@rshancomedy@noah_george54@clairecaverly@beccabarnet who all worked incredibly hard and handled unforseen obstacles with vigor. I think Bex and the team really nailed this one!

This is a tough post to compose! This kitchen island frame (yet to be cleaned and finished) for @seanahern_ahernsanvil is the last project I've made as a member of the Ahern's anvil team and as Sean's right (or maybe left haha) hand. I am so damn proud of everything we built and everything I learned in my decade on Brigade Street and have nothing but love and gratitude for my time there. I've connected with and learned from many talented smiths and metal workers here and have greatly benefitted from the tutelage of one of the most genuine and dedicated craftspeople I know, Sean Ahern. I'm ready to grow in new ways again and found an opportunity to rejoin the team at TTS Studios as a welder and general maker of neat stuff. This moment sitting alone in the shop with my tools loaded up is what the word bittersweet was made for. On to the next chapter!

Over wintering the larger outdoor plants in the shed this year, it's nice to not have to give up the entire guest room this time around. Pretty sure they'll stay warm enough!

I made this combination curtain rod/plant hanger for myself a couple months ago. All forged steel with a brown patina which I really love. It was my first time using this patina and I think the way it warms up the normally cold steel plays well with all the wood and plants in the room. I know it's a faux pas to mount to trim, but I liked the look, so 😝

Interior railings for a very nice home on Kiawah. Love the massive windows and the macrame light fixtures, makes the space feel very open and light. Clean and simple designs are deceptively complicated to pull off and the crew did great with this one. For context, this is a full week of a 5 person crew to install.

We've been working on these 12 crane themed window grilles for months, alongside many other projects; it felt really good to give them a final polish and crate them up for the journey to Bermuda yesterday.
