Fret wire wear is the normal process of frets wearing down due to friction with the strings over time. It is caused by playing and can lead to issues like string rattle and intonation problems. But you can postpone the issue; we used the Vickers hardness tester to check the string's hardness, which was A. Stainless Steel EG string (265.2 Hv) and B. Stainless Steel EB string (228.1 Hv). If your frets are softer than the string, they will wear out faster. To delay fret wear, we suggest you use fret wire that is harder than the strings. We do have the following fret wire materials that are harder than the string: 36% nickel silver (240-260 Hv, 🟰), 304CU SS (300 Hv, 13.12%🔺️), and 316L SS (338 Hv, 27.5 %🔺️). Please be aware that stainless steel wound strings are harder than the nickel wound strings.
