In the past half a year, I had the crazy opportunity to work alongside a fantastic engineer and my dearest friend @im_maikel (after working together we hate each other now, obviously) on a small project for the @ashtonbrothers Kerstcircus - the Smoke Cannon.
As much as I didn’t expect myself to get busy with pneumatics and aerodynamics, when an opportunity like this arises, my interests naturally follow. Working on a project that becomes a part of something so huge is indescribably rewarding :)

Trust is learned, earned, and sometimes betrayed. In the Iterated Prisoner’s Dilemma, two players choose: cooperate or defect. Played once, it’s a gamble. Played again and again, it becomes a mirror—reflecting memory, strategy, and intention.
The Trust Paradox (@blackscreen.studio ) draws from this classic game to probe a new frontier: trust between humans and technology. In this psychological video game, players navigate shifting alliances with smart systems, learning—and unlearning—how much faith to place in machines that adapt, remember, and sometimes mislead.
As AI grows more integrated into our lives, so does the risk of misplaced trust. This isn’t just a game—it’s a question: Can we build trust with ever-smarter technologies? 🤖

Today marks a month since the Kazerne Design Award 2025 ceremony took place.
Even though this time, T.H.U.M.P.E.R. and I left without a win, it is genuinely encouraging to be recognized among these other wonderfully talented and hard-working designers. Seeing the creative paths my peers took after graduating from DAE is truly inspiring.
Being at the intersection of design, technology, and psychology can sometimes be difficult and create a feeling of not belonging specifically to any of these niche groups in the end. Therefore, seeing my work being acknowledged and appreciated always means a lot to me.

The Trust Paradox
Can we build trust with ever smarter technologies?
Unlike human-human or human-animal trust, human-technology trust is new and evolving, and can be easily manipulated. The psychological video game The Trust Paradox explores the concept of trust between humans and advanced technologies. Based on the Iterated Prisoner’s Dilemma, in which collaborating participants learn from their experiences, The Trust Paradox encourages players to critically examine their interactions with smart tech. The game challenges our sense of tech-trust in an age with ever-advancing AI and technologies.
Designer Kasia Łukaszuk explores the evolving relationship between humans and technology. Drawing from design, computer science, and sociology, her work investigates how technological systems shape — and are shaped by — people. With a human-centered approach, she creates thoughtful, engaging experiences that invite reflection, curiosity, and conversation.
