Today is the 94th anniversary of The Original Black’s BBQ!
What began as a small-town meat market in 1932 has grown into a Texas tradition we’re proud to carry forward today as the oldest family-owned BBQ restaurant in Texas. In 2022, May 14th was officially declared The Original Black’s Barbecue Day in Lockhart, marking a continued celebration of how far this journey has come.
We’re grateful for every customer and every bit of support that’s kept us going strong for 94 years. Thank y’all 🖤
This time of year always brings reflection on the sacrifices made for our freedom 🖤
We honor those sacrifices, and the families, including ours, who’ve carried that responsibility forward. A time to be grateful, and to gather around the table when we can.
