Save the date for October 30-31, 2026 Blackpot Festival friends! We hope to see you back at Vermilionville Historic Village in Lafayette, LA for good food, good music, and a good time!
Hey everyone! While we did reach our fundraising goal the other day, several people asked how they can donate. We left the link open a bit longer on our website and we’ll be putting the donate link back in our Instagram bio! Thank you to all who have donated so far! When the time is up, we’ll email each of you a thank you with a gift. Thank you again Blackpot Family!
We’re so close to our goal! Click on the link in our bio if you feel willing to contribute to the Blackpot Festival so we can continue on the tradition we all love with good music, food, and culture!
We need your help! Last years festival saw an unforeseen short fall in revenue and attendance due to a rain event. Normally that wouldn't even slow down the Blackpot Family but unfortunately we are forced to ask for your help. We are hoping to raise $6k to pay vendors and musicians that we were unable to compensate. Please if your a fan and are able to help follow the link below. We can't wait to see you all again this year for our 20TH year. Thank you!
PLEASE SHARE, LINK IN THE BIO!
If you have any questions email me at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Glenn Fields
Hey Blackpot festival fans! As you may or may not know, our beloved friend who has passed on, Joe Hall, was a great accordion player and has played the festival in the past with his band.
One of Joe’s former musicians who recently passed, Mark Palms, worked on a documentary about Joe, called “Who’s That Playin’ My Box?”. There will be a screening of this documentary at the Acadiana Center of the Arts November 25th, 2025 from 6-9 PM! Following the screening will be a performance by Cedric Watson and Forest Huval. Get your tickets at /e/who-s-that-playing-my-box-film-screening-tickets-241885!
On behalf of us here at the Blackpot Festival & Cookoff, we'd like to give a big THANK YOU to all the amazing musicians, volunteers, Vermilionville staff, and you, the attendees who made this year's festival another success! We'll see y'all next year, October 23rd and 24th, 2026!
