⚡🔧 Field Day is an important first step for students interested in Blackhawk’s Electric Power Distribution (EPD) program!
Held on our Beloit-Janesville Campus, the event gives prospective students the chance to meet instructors, ask questions, explore careers in the electric power industry, and get hands-on experience with the equipment used in the field.
Students participated in activities such as operating a mini excavator and digger derrick truck, using switch sticks, tying in wire, and even climbing poles!

☀️🍔 What a beautiful day for our Backyard Bash BBQ!
Students, staff, and faculty came together for an afternoon of outdoor games, great company, raffle prizes, and an amazing spread of food prepared by our Culinary Arts students. 🎉
A special thank you to our student organizations for helping plan and set up the event, and to everyone who joined us and made the afternoon so fun and festive! 👏
🎯 The Talons Clay Target Shooting team completed its first two weeks of spring competition, battling tough weather conditions while continuing to improve each week.
A highlight: Jillian Schue scored one of the highest scores of her career in Week 1 with a 44, placing her 12th in the conference among all shooters.

The Talons Men’s Golf team wrapped up its season with two competitions last week in Rockford and Morris, Illinois. Coach Nick Hagen noted it was great to see several golfers post career-best scores at the Morris event. What a strong way to finish the season! 👏
Meanwhile, the Clay Target Shooting team kicked off its first of five weeks of competition.

🚗🔧 What a day at our Auto/Diesel Career Fair!
With about 30 employers participating and a steady flow of students, high schoolers, and community members, the Center for Transportation Studies was buzzing with conversations and career connections on Tuesday.

🩸👏 Thank you to our blood drive heroes!
The Red Cross Blood Drive, sponsored by our Student Nurses Association on Wednesday, was a great success. We collected nearly 50 blood products from 42 donors, including 14 first-time donors! With those numbers, the blood drive potentially helped 147 lives.
Thank you to everyone who donated and to our Nursing students who volunteered their time throughout the day. Your generosity truly makes a difference! ❤️
