Before most of us even understood anxiety, self-doubt, or growing up… 👦🏾🧒🏿 Ziggy Marley was already speaking life into an entire generation through a cartoon theme song. 🥰 In 1996, the 8-time Grammy winner recorded “Believe in Yourself” for Arthur 🎶 giving the PBS classic a reggae heartbeat that made kids feel safe, hopeful, and understood before school every morning. Recorded at the Bob Marley Museum in Jamaica 🇯🇲 with background vocals from the Marley family, the song became far bigger than anyone expected. It became childhood. 🤌🏾 Arthur tackled asthma, dyslexia, bullying, divorce, fear, and growing up… and @ZiggyMarley ’s voice opened every episode with warmth, joy, and reassurance. Nearly 30 years later, millions of people still instantly smile the second they hear: “And I say hey…” 👋🏾 That’s not just nostalgia. That’s legacy. 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

Black skiers still make up only a tiny percentage of the sport worldwide. ⛷️ Ibrahima saw that… 🤔 and glided past it anyway. From Senegal 🇸🇳 to the mountains of Italy, @ibra_ski_ is turning one of the whitest luxury sports on Earth into something colder, smoother, and impossible to ignore. No gimmicks. No permission. Just presence. 🎿 Most people see snow and think survival. 🥶 He made it look like luxury. 🤌🏾 The slopes never looked this Black. ✊🏿 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

A Black father pulled out his phone to record a proud moment… 🐸 And captured the exact kind of joy people have been missing online. 🥹 Jeremiah… performing with the Byrnes High School Choir 🎤 went viral after delivering a standout rendition of “Rainbow Connection,” the song famously associated with Kermit the Frog. And somewhere between the vocals, the confidence, and the crowd smiling back at him… A school choir performance turned into a moment people genuinely felt. 🥰 You could see a young Black boy completely owning the stage. And you could feel how proud his father @corday_rmg was behind the camera recording it all. Sometimes the internet doesn’t need outrage to stop scrolling. Sometimes pure joy is enough. 🤗 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

Times Square didn’t look real last night. 😎 For Gucci Cruise 2027, the fashion house transformed the center of Manhattan into a massive #GucciCore runway spectacle filled with neon lights, giant billboards, and pure performance art. Then Anok Yai appeared. 🤩 Wrapped in a shimmering black serpent-like silhouette with hypnotic smoky eyes and gothic glamour, the supermodel instantly became the viral center of the entire show. The beauty look 😍 blown-out charcoal shadow, sharp cat-eye structure, and dark nocturnal elegance… perfectly matched the collection’s gritty luxury aesthetic and turned the runway into something that felt cinematic instead of commercial. What makes the moment even more powerful is remembering where her story began: a viral college photo in 2017. Now @AnokYai is standing at the absolute pinnacle of high fashion as one of the defining “New Supers” of this generation. And honestly, nobody owned Times Square more than her. 🤌🏾 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

Today, we celebrate Blerd excellence. The 3rd Annual Blerdies is officially here. Over the past four months, this program was built with intention, care, and deep respect for the #Blerd community. This year, 491 authentic Blerds cast their votes 🗳️ more than double the 220 total votes from the entire voting period last year, a milestone we surpassed on Day One alone. That growth matters. Because @TheBlerdies exists to honor, support, encourage, and endorse Black brilliance across the full spectrum. From superstars to legacy legends. From rising voices to indie creators still being developed and incubated. The Blerd community is vast, nuanced, and multi-faceted 🤌🏾 and this awards program reflects that truth. The Blerdies is a fully independent, Blerd-created platform… made by Blerds, for Blerds, voted by Blerds, and powered entirely by insider community influence. This year features 10 categories, with 4 dedicated to indie Blerd talent and skill, including our original category Best Con-Queror 💪🏾 a Blerd-specific honor celebrating those who confidently dominate conventions, cosplay culture, and creative presence. This is how we represent the future. This is how we protect what’s next. This year, we also dedicate a Blerdies honor to the life, spirit, and memory of @Squidkid1111 🙏🏾 whose creativity, joy, and presence continue to live within the community she helped shape. We are honored to present a special tribute celebrating the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman. His spirit lives with us. He is now one of our ancestors 🪽 watching over our community with purpose, protection, and peace. The Blerdies is not anti-anyone. It is pro-Blerd. 🫶🏾 This isn’t about rivalry or competition. It’s about recognition🫱🏾‍🫲🏽acknowledging work, effort, and excellence that doesn’t always receive the spotlight it deserves. Today, we stand proud of the progress made 👏🏾and the community that made it possible. Welcome to the 3rd Annual Blerdies. Celebrate. Share. Stand with us. Because this isn’t just an awards show. It’s a reflection of who we are ✊🏿 and who we’re becoming. 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

Before Oscar Proud became one of the funniest dads in animation history, he was just a drawing on a piece of paper. ✍🏾 And according to Tommy Davidson, the creators of The Proud Family told him to go home, study the character, and figure out what he sounded like. 🤔 What Tommy brought back became television history. The screaming. The panic. The Proud Snacks delusion. The way Oscar loved his family so hard that it turned into pure chaos. It didn’t feel manufactured. It felt real. 🤌🏾 That’s why Oscar Proud lasted across generations and returned for The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder more than 20 years later. Because underneath all the comedy was something a lot of people recognized instantly: A loud, overprotective Black father trying his best to hold his family together. 🥰 And Tommy Davidson didn’t just voice that character. He built him. 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

Sometimes representation looks like a little Black girl trying not to cry 🥹 after realizing a superhero who looks like her is real. That’s what made this Moon Girl moment at Disney California Adventure so powerful. 🤗 For a few seconds, Lunella Lafayette stopped feeling like “just a cartoon” and became something tangible right in front of her. That’s why Moon Girl means so much to so many families. 🥰 She reminds Black children that they deserve to exist at the center of brilliance, adventure, imagination, and joy too. And now, with Moon Girl officially joining Marvel Rivals, fans are hoping this is only the beginning for her future. Because moments like this matter. 🤌🏾 And honestly? We still need that next season ASAP. 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

20 years later, ATL still feels bigger than a movie. It was the sound of snap music echoing through skating rinks. The fashion, the slang, the late-night talks, the ambition, the heartbreak 💔 all of it felt real because Atlanta felt real. Before the world saw Atlanta as a global entertainment powerhouse, ATL showed the culture from the inside out. ✊🏿 And now, two decades later, T.I., Lauren London, Evan Ross, Jackie Long and more reunited in the city that helped make the film immortal. 🤩 “You got a Picasso in your house!” 🖼️ That’s why ATL still lives. Because it never felt manufactured. It felt like us. 🤌🏾 And with ATL 2 officially on the way, a whole new generation is about to understand why this film became more than a classic. It became a time capsule for Black youth, Southern culture, and a version of Atlanta the world can never recreate twice. 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

DREAM. CREATE. DR PEPPER. 🥤 Romeo Bingham (@romeo.show ) went from singing: “Dr Pepper bay bayyy, it’s good and nice…” 😊 to becoming one of the internet’s biggest creator success stories of the year. What started as a spontaneous TikTok jingle became a viral phenomenon, a national commercial campaign, and multiple Webby Award wins tied to the now-iconic Dr Pepper rollout. The campaign earned both Jury and People’s Voice honors at @thewebbyawards across categories including: • Best Viral PR Campaign • Creator Endorsements • Real-Time Response And the wildest part? None of it started in a boardroom. It started with creativity. 🧠 A catchy melody. 🎶 And somebody bold enough to hit post before the world caught up. 🤌🏾 One melody. One post. One completely different life. 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

Marvel Rivals is officially bringing Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur into Season 8 this Friday 🤗 but for a lot of fans, the real heart of this moment is hearing @officialDiamondWhite return as Lunella Lafayette. Her performance didn’t just help make Moon Girl popular. It helped make Lunella feel real. 🤌🏾 Brilliant. Fearless. Funny. Emotional. Cool. For a generation of kids… especially young Black girls 👧🏾 Diamond White helped give one of Marvel’s smartest young heroes a voice that felt unforgettable. And now, that voice is officially entering the Marvel Rivals universe. For a lot of fans, this also feels like a reminder that two seasons of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was never enough. While Devil Dinosaur is joining the game as a playable Vanguard, early details suggest Moon Girl herself will mainly appear through voice support and companion interactions instead of being fully playable. Even with the debate online, fans are celebrating Lunella Lafayette finally stepping into one of the biggest superhero games in the world. Because characters matter. ✊🏿 But the people who bring them to life matter too. 🥰 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

Terry Crews is officially a playable Operator in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone as “The Replacer” 💪🏾 and somehow the same man who made “Making My Way Downtown” one of the most recognizable movie moments of the 2000s now has a flute finisher in a COD lobby. 🔥🪈 For an entire generation, White Chicks permanently changed the way people hear Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles.” The second those piano keys start playing… 🎹 #BGS thinks of @TerryCrews . ✊🏿 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad

High fantasy rarely puts Black producers at the center of billion-dollar franchises. 😎 Now Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society is leading Fourth Wing ✨ one of the biggest fantasy adaptations on Earth. Amazon officially greenlit the viral “romantasy” phenomenon after Jordan’s team secured the rights before the franchise fully exploded. ✊🏿 That means a Black-owned company now sits at the center of a potential multi-season fantasy empire powered by dragons, war, romance, and one of the most obsessive fanbases in modern publishing. And with Meredith Averill, Lisa Joy, and author Rebecca Yarros attached, the mission is clear: Prestige fantasy. Not watered-down fantasy. Because this isn’t just about adapting a hit book anymore. It’s about who gets to build the worlds people escape into. 🤌🏾 🟧✍🏾 @BlackFutureClub | #BlackGeekSquad
