Hello some personal news world. Soooo today marks my last day at MLSE after 4 unreal years. It was not at all an easy decision but I’m moving on to take a new role over at @theathletichq . Excited! But undoubtedly bittersweet... I never needed to make a reel. That’s because this company has given me every experience, and opportunity these last years. For an industry that I understood to be near impossible to break into, this company welcomed me and let me grow into my own. As a sports fan, I lived out every dream moment from working with teams, to trips, to all stars, to playoff runs, and even championships (PLURAL). But the biggest takeaway is the people. I am ready to take on a new challenge but will never be ready to leave this amazing group that I got to spend every waking hour with since 2017. (shout out 7th floor late hours) This job has been as hard as anything I ever worked at. I’ve lost sleep, time with friends and family, and my sanity at times. And yet, I wouldn’t do any bit of it differently. Again, credit to the best people one could ask for to go through all of this with. So here’s hoping I take many friendships onward to my next chapter, as well as the memories in this reel. Is this even how you should do a reel? idk, but if there is anything that sums up my personality, style, the things I loved to work on, and people I loved to work with, it’s this. Love y’all immensely and see you soon <3

My childhood friend, Anabel (@frolicanddetourbakery ) tagged me on her post writing about how comforting it would be to see more Asian-American (or Canadian in my case 😅) family photos. Here’s my family. Anyone who follows me knows I post a ton of throwbacks and parents pics on my feed. I never thought of them in the context of not necessarily seeing families that look like mine in media growing up. It’s nice that it’s gotten better. (long way to go though) These clips and photos have been posted before but looking at them today and this week, I have to shout out my parents and other immigrant parents. Come to a completely different world not set to welcome you or support you equally and yet still make it work for them and their families. In the face of everything they dealt with, here they are smiling through it all and making sure their precocious son had all smiles to this very day. @dominoclub_to is special. In only its third event, it was so cool to see that I didn’t know most people there. Marlon and Dak wanted to see domino play and community and how quickly it found people and people found it is genuinely so heartwarming. Seasoned players, first-timers, those finding the game again, they all met at the blue table. Walking around the room, I couldn’t help continuing snapping photos because as you see here, I was surrounded by endless joy. Better not miss the next. ✨ 📍 @annexhotels
