We Remember, Tessa🌺 Tessa Chadderton-Shaw, Black CAP's first Education Coordinator journeyed to the ancestral lands on May 3rd, 2026, in her home country of Barbados. In the early 90's, Tessa engaged a team of dedicated Outreach Volunteers whose work, "Ask me About Rubberware", helped to break the silence and reduce HIV/AIDS stigma in our community. We acknowledge Tessa for all she contributed to our prevention work in our earlier days! We RememberTessa 🌺 #BlackCAP #CommunityCare #Togetherness

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers in our BLACK CAP community 💐❤️ Today, we celebrate the strength, love, sacrifice, and resilience of mothers in all their beautiful forms. To the biological mothers, and the women who stepped up and became mothers, to the mothers whose children are no longer with us, we see you, we honour you, and we celebrate your love and unwavering strength. To the single mothers, the foster mothers, the chosen mothers, and the women who nurture and care for others with a mother’s heart, your impact is powerful and deeply valued. To the aunts, godmothers, grandmothers, sisters, mentors, and mother figures who continue to guide, support, and uplift the next generation; thank you for helping shape our families and communities with love and wisdom. Motherhood is not only defined by birth, but by care, compassion, protection, and the countless ways you show up for others every single day. Your love builds stronger families, healthier communities, and brighter futures. Today and every day, we celebrate you, we appreciate you, and we thank you. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at BLACK CAP 🌸🌸 #mothersday

Harm reduction creates community impact by helping to: 🧡 Prevent overdose 🧡 Reduce preventable deaths 🧡 Promote dignity and respect 🧡 Improve access to care 🧡 Strengthen community support At its core, harm reduction is care in action. These are the communities I’ve been serving lately.😊 Many newcomers don’t realize how protected they are after a car accident, and these misconceptions can prevent them from accessing benefits they may be entitled to. That is why my way of giving back to the community is by educating people about their legal rights. If you’ve been injured, you are welcome to reach out - my consultations are free.🆓📱 @achev.ca @cclcstesllinc @eastviewneighbourhoodcc @acsp1993 @blackcapto #communityfirst #newcomersupport #nonprofitorganisation #BlackCAP #achev

Rooted in Community, Growing Together. 🌍🌱 This Earth Day, we’re celebrating the power of togetherness. Just as a healthy environment requires a balanced ecosystem, a healthy community thrives when we support and uplift one another. At Black CAP, we believe that caring for our planet goes hand-in-hand with caring for our people. Let’s continue to cultivate a future where everyone has the resources, health, and support they need to flourish. #EarthDay2026 #BlackCAP #Togetherness #CommunityHealth #SustainableFuture

Celebrating Lesbian Visibility Week! 🧡🤍💖 This week (and every week!), we honor the resilience, love, and diverse experiences of lesbians everywhere. Visibility is not just about being seen; it's about amplifying voices, sharing our authentic stories, honoring the pioneers who fought for us, and inspiring future generations to live openly and proudly. Let’s continue to build spaces where all lesbians can thrive, connect, and lead. Share your stories, elevate your community, and let your light shine! #LesbianVisibilityWeek #LesbianPride #LGBTQIA #VisibilityMatters #AmplifyVoices #LesbianCommunity
