Looking back to the wrap of Series 9 of Dancing With The Stars! ✨💃🕺 With @psiproduction , we were proud to be the lighting provider for Series 9 on RTÉ One—an incredible production to be part of from start to finish. @dwtsirl Dancing With The Stars brings together celebrities and professional dancers in a live studio competition, combining high-energy performances with stunning production to create one of television’s most visually exciting shows. Working alongside Peter Canning, Lighting Designer for @highreslighting , we delivered a full lighting package including fixtures, effects, cabling, distribution, and networking. Black Light PS recently provided lighting and rigging for the @channel4 Scotland Decides at @glasgowengineworks Glasgow on Tuesday 14th April. The rig featured a control package from @electronictheatrecontrols with @luminexnetworkintelligence networking and DMX nodes providing stable system distribution throughout the broadcast setup. Key lighting was built around ETC Lustr 3 X8 Profiles and 7” fos/4 Fresnels, supported by @elationlighting SixPAR 200s, @robelighting Spiiders, LED Beam 100s, and @portmanlights P2 fixtures for additional texture and eye candy. Facilities were provided by ITN. Broadcast equipment supplied by Progressive. Lighting design by Jake Brightman and directed by @tvdirector_david . Compact, fast, and built for punchy aerial looks - we have just increased our stock of the @martinprofessional Mac One fixture ✨ The MAC One is a beam/wash hybrid effect fixture with a 150mm Fresnel lens delivering a well-defined beam that opens into a soft-edged wash effect. It offers a 6°–27° field angle, giving you real flexibility for both sharp aerial work and wider mid-air coverage. Black Light PS recently delivered lighting & rigging for the @bbcdebatenight Leadership Special, broadcast live from @paisleytownhall on Sunday 12th April ahead of the Scottish election 🎥 The Leadership Special brings together party leaders and a live audience for fast-paced, unscripted discussion on the issues shaping Scotland — making reliability, colour mixing and broadcast-quality lighting essential 💡 The panel was lit using @ayrtondigital Rivale and @electronictheatrecontrols Lustr 3 X8 fixtures, with the audience covered by ETC Fos/4 7” Lustr X8 Fresnels. Eye-candy fixtures including @portmanlights P1 & P2, @asteraofficial AX3 & AX9, and @martinprofessional Mac One added depth and atmosphere — all delivering exceptional colour and flicker-free performance for camera. From the magic of the Torch Light Procession to the energy of the World Famous Street Party, our teams supported a wide range of events including the Assembly Rooms Music Hall & Ballroom, Silent Disco Arena, Edinburgh Castle, and First Footin’ events at Greyfriars Kirk, St Giles & Greyfriars Hall.
