Posting a recap always feels a little cheesy because it never tells the full story.
These are moments. Not the whole year. Behind them was a lot of challenge, growth, and figuring things out as I went. It wasn’t easy, but it mattered.
So many people shaped this year for me. Far more than this carousel can show. Some of the most important moments don’t live on camera.
If this year stretched you too, you’re not alone. Grateful for all the opportunities, the people, and the reminders that we don’t do any of this alone. Mahalo to all of you.
Happy New Years everyone 🤙🏽
Lahaina Rising From The Ashes: Extended Trailer
We are proud to share the extended trailer for “Rising from the Ashes.” As a team born and raised in Lahaina, it is our privilege, honor, and burden to tell this story. This film captures the August 8th wildfire tragedy, the injustices that led up to it, the incredible community response all while highlighting the resilience and unity of our community as we fight for water justice and embrace the spirit of aloha ʻĀina.
Our hope is that this film will be both enlightening and healing, even as we navigate triggering and traumatic footage. Our mission is to do justice to our community’s incredible story.
Please note that our Instagram and marketing efforts will not include any footage or stories from the fire, as we understand how difficult it can be to watch and do not want to trigger or traumatize anyone. However, our trailer and extended trailer do include a bit of this footage to provide a clear understanding of what our film is about and the gravity of the story we are telling. We believe it is essential to show some of this content to truly convey the impact and importance of our community’s journey in the trailer.
We humbly ask for your support. Please like, share, and follow our journey. If you have resources, footage, or industry experience that can assist us, reach out to [email protected]. Together, we can ensure these vital stories are told.

Not an easy post to share, and I know it’s not for everyone—but being real about trauma and the journey to heal is important. If this speaks to you, it’s for you. Swipe right 🤙🏽
This July, Lāhainā is coming home.
From July 17–19, the Lahaina Homecoming will bring our community back together through food, music, storytelling, culture, and connection.
For many families, this will be one of the first times stepping back into Lāhainā together since the fires.
Thanks to the support of Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines, up to 80 displaced residents will be flown home to attend the event.
If you or your ʻohana were displaced from Lāhainā, we invite you to submit a short video sharing your story and what coming home would mean to you.
Visit: lahainahomecoming.com
Please help us spread the word so our community can come home together.

A project I’ve been working on focused on keiki sitting down with kūpuna to talk story.

Been hearing a lot of questions about mold lately, especially with another storm coming.
So I got in touch with Dr. Gina Solomon. She’s an environmental health physician and has studied mold after disasters like Katrina.
Not trying to scare anyone, just wanted to get real info out there.
If you can, it’s always best to go through a remediation specialist.
If not, call 211. They’ll connect you with support across the islands.
Stay safe everyone 🤙🏽
It’s our turn to kokua. Moloka’i came to the rescue when we needed them after the 2023 wild fires. We are putting on a fuel drive lasting from today till Wednesday April 7th. We are asking community to purchase a fuel can of their choice and fill it up. Drop off will beat canoe beach behind the kahana hale. Mahalo nui for the kokua.
Mold is something a lot of people are dealing with right now after the storms.
I’m not an expert, but I spoke with a mold specialist and a volunteer group to better understand what to look out for.
If you have the means, it’s best to go through a professional remediation company.
If not, call 211. They’ll connect you with resources on your island.
Just trying to share what I can 🤙🏽
PSA on leptospirosis, mold and mosquitoes after the Kona Low Storms. I spoke with Dr. Lorrin Pang, a public health and preventative medicine physician with decades of experience to break this down.
Not hear to scare anyone. Just sharing what to look out for while we’re out there helping. Sharing this so we can all stay safe while doing the work.
Will be doing a video with a mold specialist soon as well 🤙🏽
