Welcome to the world, Steven Jon. Our little honey baked ham arrived on Easter Sunday. he’s made our family whole and we love you more than you will ever know.
One day I’ll be able to tell you where your name came from…after one of the greatest men I’ve ever known. Someone you’ve never met but who would have loved you more than anything in this world.
We can’t wait for the adventures of Benny and Stevie, we love you so much, our boys 💙💙
Soaking in these last few weeks as the 3 musketeers 🤍
Thank you @ericajonesphotography for capturing these special moments 🫶🏼

Benson Lee cracked our hearts wide open on September 21, 2023. No amount of words can begin to capture the amount of love and awe we have over this tiny man. We are forever changed with this one’s abundance and can’t believe we are parents to this gift.
Benson, Benny for short, is after the town where my father was born and raised. Lee is for Thomas’s father who sacrifices so much for this country and others. And Jacobs Kufrin is pretty self explanatory but we wanted both parts of us to make this little one whole ❤️
Now we’re off to go cry again over how much we love him.

I never thought I’d let a boy boss me around, yet here I am letting two of them do it. I love being your mama, Benny & Stevie. You are my biggest blessing 💙💙

To our son. You taught us what it truly means to love. What it means to have your heart live outside of your body. To enjoy every moment we have together not taking a second for granted because it all moves so fast. You teach us every day how to be better people and we’re so proud of you. Thank you for choosing us as your Mommy and Daddy. We love you forever sweet sweet boy

As I get older, I’m truly starting to appreciate all the little beautiful moments this life has given me:
- the quiet pitter patter of Benny’s footsteps running down the hall
- his demanding “mama uppy!”
- the deep, constant laughs that come because of my husband (and some loving eye rolls)
- Tommy’s silly jokes that he likes to try out on me that usually land flat but end up in giggles because he’s adamant it’s “the funniest thing ever”
- him still opening the door for me any chance he gets
- the good night smooches from my boys
- the hand holds throughout the night
- the dogs’ ear flapping shakes that wake me up each morning
- Minno’s sassy growling when she doesn’t get enough attention
- Leo’s howl anytime I walk out the door with Minno
- my mom’s loving voicemails that she leaves every single time even though she knows I’ll always see her missed call (and yes, I save them all)
- chats with my sister on her way home from work where we laugh about our kids and husbands and can’t tell each other enough how much we miss each other
- the game nights with neighbors who have turned into family
- family dinners that go by way too fast because Benny gets distracted and just wants to run and play
- all the good books that have made me cry or picture life through a new lens
- finding old, handwritten letters from my dad and tracing his signature
- feeling my baby’s hiccups inside of me and the kicks that grow stronger and stronger (sometimes too strong 😅)
- creating 2 beautifully unique humans
- all of my people who make life feel full (and the ones I’ll soon be able to hold)
I’m so grateful for it all — all of my laugh lines, my crows feet, the occasional peeing of the pants from laughing or dancing too hard — everything has lead me to this type of happiness that I’ll look back on in another 36 years and wish I could have bottled it all up 🤍
