Farewell and a hui hou Pearl City. It’s been a great run since I started off here in 2018, but now it’s time to pick up and move on to the next order of business. Lots of good memories in this space. Hoping the new location will have the same level of sentiment when the times comes to ultimately close up shop.
Still hauling after many years of service. Rock N Roller Carts are nice, but this little Cosco 3 in 1 Folding Hand Truck Dolly is the most compact unit I could find that can handle some hefty loads at less than half the price. They are so good, I bought a pink one for my wife 😄

Had some great fun times and memories working with their full band and would definitely do it again in a heartbeat.

The Soundcraft Ui24r is the result of the collaborative effort of various companies aimed at developing a product that meets the demands of most live multi-track recording projects.
I was so impressed with the performance and amount of features included in the first unit (after the first year of using it) that I went ahead and procured a second unit to interconnect and expand on the first unit.

After realizing that the Behringer MX3242X and ADA8200 combo was too clunky to transport between gigs, I decided to ditch the MX3242X and try using just the pair of ADA8200 connected to a laptop via two ADAT to USB converters. The 16 in x 16 out audio signal routing was pretty awesome, and it was all done via DAW installed on a laptop and controlled wirelessly via bluetooth using a Korg NanoKontrol Studio MIDI controller.
This quirky yet portable setup was a step closer to where I ultimately ended up in my quest for a live multi-track recording rig, but it still had the inherent issue of latency between the ADA8200 units and the computer it was connected to. There were also wireless signal instability issues since the range of most bluetooth devices is very limited.
