Just wanna say a big thank you to everyone that’s been connecting with, supporting & pushing it so far. As far as this being my debut single, this is a very special experience for me & I’ve been absolutely mindblown by the outpour of love it’s getting. I mean it’s already been played on CBC radio, gotten over 1,400 streams on Spotify in just a week and has been steadily growing on other platforms + gotten heartfelt feedback directly 🤯

Thematically 👨🏾🎨 Basement is about locking your emotions deep down so you can keep trudging along in life. Sometimes it’s nothing more than the instinct to survive. Many times in my life I’ve found myself in that unique position that’s not quite “healed” but also unwilling to be stuck in the past & that’s how this came about
