How do you feel about AI in relation to art?
I am probably in the minority of artists as someone that is excited about the innovation happening in AI. I feel that the current state of things is a pretty natural extension of improving our tools.
I think many used to think of digital art, photoshop, the internet, etc all as a kind of Antichrist that was going to destroy the sacred teaching artists had spent their life into, in the same way many currently view AI art. How many people still make their own paint, their artists tools, hire models and work from live references, actually dedicate themselves to becoming proficient at their craft etc if people from 100 years ago saw how we make art now they would say we are desecrating it. We are living in a totally different time.
What will come of arts role in the marketplace?
How do we make money as artists in a post AI world?
What about the artists whose work was fed to an AI and pushed back out into the world without credit or payment?
