In addition to making bespoke Jewellery & Silverware for the home and body, we have also done a number of interesting Ecclesiastical commissions.
Whilst some pieces have been large sculptural installations or memorial wall plaques, some are more intricate silver pieces like this bespoke Beadle Staff and Model-Church, commissioned for St. Mary Abchurch and the Friends of The City Churches.
It’s always a privilege to have the opportunity design and make pieces like this, and a honour to create work that often becomes woven into the fabric and history of the Church itself.

This week I had the pleasure of going to the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards Exhibition, in the impressive Birmingham Assay Office.
It was great to see all the amazing work on display as well as some of the pieces in the silver room too!
I always find it an eye opener when seeing the work in person, as it’s the only way to truly appreciate the scale of the pieces. I find they are often larger or more intricate than they appear in photos or on screen.
It was also lovely to see so many familiar faces as well as meeting some new ones too.

@goldsmithsfair Last week the 2026 Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Awards took place, celebrating craft and design currently being practiced in the UK industry.
The annual Awards (supported by @thegoldsmithscompany and @goldsmithsfoundation ) reward excellence in technical skills and creative design in precious metals and related materials, and are open to all in the jewellery, silversmithing and allied trades.
All winning pieces will be on display at the @birminghamassayoffice from Monday 23 to Friday 27 March. Head to @gcdcawards to learn more.

Here’s a recently finished commission of a trio-set 3 stone engagement ring.
The arrangement of a large centre stone with two side stones is a classic and timeless design.
This beauty has three natural GIA certified Diamonds set into a custom 18ct white gold mount.
This commission was extra special as the ring was made using gold from the clients Mother’s engagement ring. The stone from her engagement ring has been removed, cleaned and saved to be remade into another piece of jewellery at a later date.
Recycling and reimagining jewellery isn’t always a straightforward process, but it’s always worthwhile and a privilege whenever there is a sentimental reason behind it.

Wow, what an amazing evening last night was!
I was truly delighted to have won a total of 4 awards for both pieces I entered into this year’s competition.
To be recognised as a Gold Award winner in ‘Jewellery Craftsmanship’ was a real highlight for me and something I really didn’t think would ever happen.
I was also fortunate to win a Silver Award for ‘Polishing & Finishing’ and a Bronze Award for ‘Laser Technology’ and another Bronze for ‘3D Design Silversmiths’
It really means the world to me to be recognised for my design and craftsmanship skills, especially when being judged alongside and by some of the industries very best.
Thank you for a great evening @gcdcawards and congratulations to everyone that won awards!
A special shout out has to go out to the legend Clive Burr who won the Lifetime Achievement Award. A truly deserving recipient and a real gent who’s given everything to the trade. It was actually a privilege to be there to witness him receive it in person.

This bespoke platinum wedding band was designed to look classic and timeless with careful consideration for how the piece would weather over time.
The subtle design details on this ring include two hidden diamonds inside the shank representing the bride and groom, as well as two deep round-bottom grooves. These grooved details were somewhat tricky to achieve a high polish in, but it was worth the effort.
As the undercut of each groove is protected by the top and side surfaces of the ring, this allows the grooves to always remain highly polished, with the rest of the ring naturally weathering with wear and taking on is very own unique finish overtime

I T T F - E U R O P E A N - C H A M P I O N S H I P S
I’m back in the workshop today after 9 days away with the Great British Para Table Tennis team in Sweden.
It was an absolute pleasure to see the team do so well in all the different classes picking up 3x Golds, 3x Silvers, and 9x Bronze medals in total! The dedication and resilience of all the athletes and staff is second to none.
I was out there helping and supporting my brother @chrisryancjr in his second European Championships. His transition from Wheelchair Rugby to Table Tennis has been nothing sure of incredible. He has only been playing properly for 2 years and his journey through the world rankings and picking up medals with podium finishes has been nothing short of meteoric!
After having a tough draw, he managed to progress out of his group, and beat the world number #5 Peter Lovas 3-0, to set up a quarter-final showdown with world number #1 Rafal Czuper. Incredibly Chris showed his true sporting prowess and managed to win the match 3-1 securing him a place in the semi finals and a gaurenteed bronze medal. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to progress to the final, as he was beaten 1-3 by Jan Riapos.
However winning a bronze in the singles, and then later a second bronze with @tommatthewstt in the men’s doubles MD4 made an already brilliant tournament even better. 🥉🥉
I’m super proud of Chris and the whole squad for all their hard work and dedication… It truly does pay off! I just want to say thank you to the whole team and staff for making me feel so welcome. 🇬🇧🏓
