A month after The Pitt’s second season finale aired, we’re still thinking about @kvanarendonk ’s @vulture essay “Robby Has Never Been Your Daddy.” Kathryn joins @bizzyt and @erinhosier to talk about this season and the several episodes Noah Wyle wrote, giving us a closer read on them than Robby’s slutty little glasses could ever provide. She also discusses Noah Wyle’s vision of Robby, the show’s ideas about masculinity and caregiving, and why people seem to have forgotten how to watch TV anymore. Plus, we get into the Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance of it all (not Robby’s “Phaedrus” tattoo in wine mom calligraphy font!), the Robby/Whittaker/Abbot dystopian m-preg fan fiction that abounds on social media, and the cluster B personality disorders afflicting the ER doctors of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. At 15, @ndburian ’s last words to her father were “I hate you.” That afternoon, he died at 44. Now a parent the same age he was, Natalka, an author and owner of the beloved Brooklyn bar @elsabarnyc , joins @erinhosier and @bizzyt to talk about regrets, the fear of repeating a parent’s fate, and how to make peace with what you cannot know. Listen at the link in our bio. Photo 1: Natalka by Sylvie Rosokoff Photo 2: Natalka and her little brother with their dad, Pete Burian

@christian__nightmares walks us through the year in #christiannationalism in our newest episode. From Pete Hegseth's worship services in the Pentagon to pastors who don't think women should vote to the "sin of empathy" peddled by pastor Josh McPherson, Elon Musk and Charlie Kirk - the gang is all here. We'd laugh if it wasn't so scary. Thankfully the anonymous content creator Christian Nightmares (that's him in the mask) knows this world from growing up in an evangelical church and chronicles it all on his incredible substack. He shares his wisdom on what to make of it all as we head into Project 2026, one nation under Trump. Link in bio!

Happy birthday to @mmyfanwyt , who used to write out the lyrics to Beastie Boys songs and color code their parts so we could learn them. Charlie is so lucky to have her. The greatest, the greatest. ❤️

#jeffbuckley biographer and Rolling Stone editor @davidbrowne_ joins @bizzyt and @erinhosier on our latest episode to talk about the life of the late singer-songwriter, the subject of new documentary, "It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley", by director Amy Berg hitting HBO this week. Jeff spent his life trying to escape the shadow of his estranged father, folk musician Tim Buckley. Yet after both died young, Tim of an overdose in 1975, Jeff in a tragic drowning in 1997, their stories became inseparable. Browne, author of "Dream Brother" and "Jeff Buckley: His Own Voice, " discusses the Buckley legacy and why Jeff's 1994 album "Grace" still haunts Gen Z listeners three decades later. Happy 9th birthday to my nephew, Charlie, whose imagination, dancing, video messages, and toasts bring me so much joy. He is the funniest person I know - this year for his birthday, he asked for a suit coat, a nerf gun, a bottle of Dr. Pepper, and a can of Coke. I've also never met someone who loves the beach more, particularly being knocked around by big waves for hour-long stretches at a time and then going back in for more after a quick sip of Sprite and a Cheeto or two. He cares so much about people who have less than him and the feelings of others, a trait that evaporates whenever he cutely guesses that Sean is 20 but looks me dead in the eye and says "you're 43." Every time. I love you, C-Bear.

London, featuring @nyc_309 and @swiftieau 's perfect wedding and many fantastic charlie outfits -With my cousin @nyc_309 on his big day. He played "Let the River Run" by Carly Simon from the Working Girl soundtrack for me when I was 7 (the first time I ever saw a CD player) and he continues to be the chicest person I know -Wedding of the century in Primrose Hill! -Charlie emceeing the reception 😭 -A guy I sat next to - Posing with his furry royal guard hat that he clocked from yards away on a high up shelf in a flea market after spending hours searching -Hating "pink pony club" at the changing of the guard (derogatory) -Best outfit on the tube - After swimming in Hampstead Heath on a 90-degree day. Our swimming companions included a man wearing an ankle monitor, his large dog who kept jumping into the water to bark at people, and throngs of college kids who definitely wanted an 8 year old with a plastic lance there. They should be so lucky. -post-swimming soccer -music is my boyfriend

Happy 75th birthday to my mom @annethompson30 , who is my comedic hero and cares so deeply about others. She has been a Head Start preschool teacher, a librarian, and a book editor, and now devotes her free time to testifying against reckless gun bills in Arizona and bullying me on Instagram by replying "ok" to my stories. I'm so lucky she's my mom. I love you, Annie Kathleen!

One year with Arnold, who has become the core of our family. He had big shoes to fill when Hux left, and he has stepped up. (He also has enormous back feet so it works.) A sweetie with so much love to give and a glutton for head rubs, we couldn't ask for a better guy. Thank you for getting him off the lonely street, @ilovesachapenn and to @isthistheseanhartiknow for adopting this orange boy. We love giving you a home, Arnie
