Several weeks ago, just before we entered into “these times” @kabiruabu and I were set to celebrate our 10th anniversary with a surprise shoot in Paris. France locked down a few days before we were to travel but REGARDLESS we made plan B seem like the only plan and what really mattered was US, TOGETHER. 10 years have been sweet with you my love and we’re just getting started. Enough chatter from me, here’s the AH-MAZING dream team that helped realise my dream of re-creating our “wedding shoot” as a surprise for Kabiru: Dress @alonuko_bespoke (Gbemi I still have no words: the whole experience was a dream come true, like literally! You are exceptional, a gem and I CANNOT thank you enough) . . Tux @kabiruabu (obvs! But he thought he was just wearing it to an awards ceremony lol) . . Makeup @joyadenuga (I always joked (dreamt) that I would one day sit in Joy’s chair (we’ve worked on many brides together) and when the Parisian dream crumbled along with the makeup artist there, Joy gladly stepped in and it was like a bucket-list-tick-off. I LOVED it Joy, you’re phenomenal and so sweet. Thank you!) . . Pictures @jjpstudios (Jamie and I met on a job once and just ‘clicked’ so we were thrilled that he could step in to the last minute change of plans. thank you for capturing our US-ness, we are so grateful). . . Video @_zebie (Jordan you already know. You were always the original plan, and it worked out. Thank you making this special) . . Rings @chieferdcypha (neither of us knew that we both had the same plan but you executed both rings surprises perfectly, thank you) #10yrsAbus #Abikabiru #LoveLivesHere

Let’s be honest, heartbreak is painful 💔 But sometimes it’s in the midst of pain and loss that we see God’s goodness as he directs us to something better. In this week’s brand new episode of #TheMagnifyConversations, we’re joined by globally acclaimed bridal hairstylist and founder of @bixiepots , Abiké Abu @bixiebeau . She shares so wisely the lessons we can learn from letting go of failing relationships and how we can use heartbreak to pivot ✨ Listen to the full conversation on our YouTube channel @magnifycollective using the link in our bio.

Honestly, It wasn’t the best year for the business and we didn’t achieve all the goals set for 2025. So I felt this kind of post wasn’t even necessary. BUT-sometimes you have to focus on what you DID achieve and give thanks to God for the small wins! Let this fuel you for the ones still ahead, that’s what we’re doing anyway. We go again! To everyone who contributed to our 2025, THANK YOU!!! Your support means everything 🫶🏾✨

One of my worst traits is I cannot compartmentalise. I haven’t been able to come on here properly. A month ago, my Pastor, my spiritual father, Pastor Douglas Lloyd Goodman, transitioned from this earth on to glory and I still struggle to find the words. He was my pastor for 23yrs and through some very key, significant moments, He Fathered me. Yes. He walked me through the hardest parts of my life, God used him and Pastor Erica to ‘grow me’ then he met Kabiru, and immediately took him in. In fact Kabiru took my place in his heart lol! He loved @kabiruabu and was proud of him. Then came Zakh and Zara, he dedicated them and every Sunday he made time for them. . To say his death is a loss is a huge understatement but the legacy he left in his beautiful family, in the church and in my own family is evident: the light shines brighter, the work continues. What a legacy 🤍
